This exhibition is the fourth of a series of five exhibitions to be held in
2013 to celebrate “The 25th Anniversary of the Menard Art Museum”.
It features approximately 75 valued works of European modern art and
will feature works by such artists as Ensor, Picasso, van Gogh, Manet,
and Milo.
When: Thursday, July 11 - Sunday, October 6
Where: Menard Art Museum メナード 美術館, Komaki City
Open: 10:00 - 17:00; closed Mondays (open 7/15, 9/16, 9/23 closed
7/16, 9/17, 9/24).
Admission: Adults 800 Yen, students 600 Yen, JHS & elementary
students 300 Yen.

Access: A 15 minute walk from (Meitetsu) Komaki Station 小牧.
Komaki Station is connected to the Kamiiida Subway Line.
A low-cost course run by non-profit organization World Work Support.
Taught by an experienced teacher, participants will learn the basic
Japanese needed to successfully work in a Japanese company, employment law, Japanese business manners, keigo, formal greetings, how to
write a rirekisho, and also learn about and practice Japanese job
interviews. The course is open to foreign residents aged 15+ who are
able to speak basic Japanese. Spaces are limited to 15 people per
session, and there will be a total of 7 sessions.
When: Saturdays from August 17 to September 28 (10:00~11:45).
Total of 7 sessions.

Star Gazing at the Science Museum
市民観望会
Observe the night sky through the science museum's large telescope;
other smaller telescopes will also be available.

Participation: Adults 700 Yen, school-age children 300 Yen. Numbers

Nagoya Groovin’ Summer 2013
See some cool young talent, combined with professional
musicians of the jazz scene get it on at this free two day event,
presenting big band vibrancy with special guest artists Pistol
Valve, Tokyo Brass Style, a duo of Aya Yoda and Masato
Kobayashi, a duo of Ayumi Koketsu and Koichi Sato; performing
live at Oasis 21’s Galaxy Platform and Nadya Park’s Atrium.

A special charity concert for the whole family. Proceeds from the
concert will go towards funding a special concert for handicapped people. The concert features Conductor Ketaro Kawase
and will be held at the Nagoya Civic Assembly Hall.

Summer Party – an International Exchange

国際交流イベント
This event provides Japanese and non-Japanese guests a chance
to meet and mingle under a casual party setting. There will be
recreational games, prizes, and a chance to learn and experience
Japanese culture. A buffet-style light meal will be available.

Free Guided Tour of Nagoya 定期に開催しているガイドツアー
The Aichi Goodwill Guides Network (AGGN) offer free English-speaking tours of sightseeing spots around Nagoya. No
guide fees are required for all tours, but as for Private Tours, all entrance fees, transportation, food and drink costs for the
