今日Empire様式について短い文書を書きました。
エンパイア様式（帝政様式）は１８００年頃に始まり１８３０年頃まで続きました。
この年代はナポレオンやルイ１8世そして彼の兄弟であるチャールズ１０世が含まれます。
家具のデザインはたくましく、少し重く、そして堂々とした印象に変わりました。
主に四角や立方体の形が使われています。
曲線をえがいた銅などがデコレーションに使われていることも特徴と言えます。
レストレーション時代（１８１５∼１８３０年）には、形がディレクトワール様式につか付きました。
銅などの使用がなくなり、組木細工がかわりに使われるようになりました。

The Empire Style started in about 1800 and finsihed in 1830. So it includes the the Napoléon era
and the reign of Louis XVIII and his brother Charles X.
The furniture’s design became rigid, imposing and a bit heavy. The dominant shapes are the cube
and the square.
The decorative carved bronzes are also dominant.
During the Restoration era, from 1815 until 1830, the shapes look like the Directoire’s shapes. The
bronzes disappear and are replaced by some marquetry.
