Koyasan is the 1,200-year-old headquarters of Shingon sect of esoteric Buddhism. The entire
town on the top of mountain is covered in a mysterious Buddhistic atmosphere secluded from
secular world. In Okuno-in, the largest graveyard in Japan, you can see the concise history of
Japan. Adjacent Yoshio in Nara is the sacred site of Shugendo even older than Koyasan and it is
well known for magnificient cherry blossoms. Feel the true spirit of the ancient Japanese
religions by visting these areas and walking through the pilgrimate routes and ascetic mountain
