特許出願・登録の現状
特許出願件数・審査請求等の推移
特許出願件数は、2006年までは40万件を超える高い水準
で推移していた。しかし、2006年以降漸減傾向に転じ、2009
年以降34万件台で推移してきたところ、2014年は前年比0.7%
減の325,989件であった。また、2014年の審査請求件数は
245,535件、特許登録件数は227,142件であった。

The
number

patent
applications
remained
unchanged at a high level, over 400,000, until 2006
when the trend was reversed. The number had
remained around 340,000 since 2009, and it became
lower in 2014, which was 325,989 ( a 0.7% decrease
compared to the previous year). In 2014, the number of
requests for examination was 245,535 and the number
of patent registrations was 227,142.

日本国特許庁を受理官庁とした特許協力条約に基づく国際出
願

The number of International applications based on
the Patent Cooperation Treaty, filed with the JPO as
the receiving office, (hereinafter referred to as PCT
international applications) had been increasing until
2013, but in 2014 it decreased by 4.1% year-on-year
to 41,292.

承認TLOを含む日本の大学等からの特許出願件数は、2004
年の国 立 大 学 法 人 化を境に急 激に増 加し、2005年には7千
件を超えた。その後2007年をピークに漸減傾向にあったが、
2014年の特許出願件数は前年比5.2%増の6,899件であった。

世界の特許出願件数の推移
世界の特許出願件数は、2004年に157.5万件であったが、
この10年で1.6倍に増加し、2013年は256.8万件であった。
The number of patent applications filed in the world
was 1.575 million in 2004, but it had grown 1.6 times
over the past ten years, and in 2013, 2.568 million
applications were filed.

世界の特許登録件数の推移

世界の特許登録件数は、2004年に62.1万件であったが、こ
の10年で1.9倍に増加し、2013年は117.0万件であった。

2013年の日米欧中韓五大特許庁における特許出願件数を
見ると、日本国特許庁（JPO）は、32.8万件であり、欧州特許庁
（EPO）
