This course in business English is for intermediate level students. The
aim is to improve the English language skills and business skills needed in a working
environment. The first 4 weeks will focus on the most common business communication
skills. Students will then decide, by class vote, which areas to concentrate on in the
remaining weeks. The course emphasizes the practical side of business communication.

industry. I have been teaching English in Japan for
20 years. In addition to my college classes, I have

This course in business English is for intermediate to advanced level students. Each semester
we will focus on improving language skills through discussing a business topic. At the beginning of each semester
we will talk about topics we would like to concentrate on. Typical topics are negotiation skills, presentations
skills, marketing and meeting etiquette. The teacher will also provide photocopies, taken from a range of sources,
and each week there will be a choice of current newspaper articles to be studied for the following week.
