［みよし市の祭り］
みよしの三大夏まつり「三好池まつり」
「三好いいじゃんまつり」
「三好大提灯まつり」は活気に溢れており、幻想的な
花火や華やかな衣装を身にまとい踊る踊り子たち、約11メートルの大提灯は夜を鮮やかに彩り、みよしの夏の風物詩
といえます。また、秋には各地区で昔より伝承されてきた祭り囃子や棒の手などの伝統芸能が披露される祭りが開催。
中でも、「三好八幡社秋の大祭」では、みよし市指定有形文化財に指定されている2台の山車が勇壮な若衆によって曳
き廻され、多くの観客でにぎわっています。
Miyoshi’s Festivals
Miyoshi’s summer offers three energetic festivals: Miyoshi Pond Festival, Miyoshi Iijan Festival and Miyoshi O-jochin (Big Lantern) Festival. They
showcase fantastic fireworks and dancers in gorgeous costumes. Gigantic 11-meter lanterns, which light up Miyoshi’s summer evenings, are the city’s
seasonal hallmark. In autumn, different areas in Miyoshi stage locally traditional programs in music, dance and the martial arts. Particularly, in the
Miyoshi Hachiman Shrine Great Autumn Festival, brave young men roll out and pull two historic floats that are designated by the City as Miyoshi’s
tangible cultural assets.

祭りの
高さ世界一の大提灯
みよしの三大夏まつりの一つである三好大提灯まつりは、昭和2年に三好稲荷
閣が愛知の新十名所の第2位に選ばれたことをきっかけに、世界一の大提灯が掲
げられるようになりました。その後2基が奉納され、平成5年からは3基の大提
灯が大祭のシンボルとなっています。

みよし市の魅力
［カヌーのまち みよし］
1994年のわかしゃち国体でカヌー競技が開催されて以来、みよし市は「カヌーのまち」として、カヌーポロの普及
など多彩な施策を推進してきました。その結果、三好高等学校をはじめ、市内の3中学校にカヌー部があり、三好池
や平成16年に開催された世界カヌーポロ選手権大会の舞台となった保田ケ池は日本有数のカヌー競技場として、毎年
多くの大会が開催され全国各地から選手が訪れています。
Canoe City-Miyoshi
Ever since the city hosted a canoe competition in 1994 as part of that year’s National Sports Festival, Miyoshi has become known as a “Canoe City”
and promoted canoeing with various activities such as canoe polo. As a result, canoeing is a formal extracurricular activity at Miyoshi High School
and three junior high schools, and Miyoshi Pond and the Botagaike Pond, where the World Canoe Polo Championships was held in 2004, are among
Japan’s major canoeing venues, annually welcoming numerous competitions and athletes.

子どもから高齢者まで、手軽に乗ることが

ト）を使って交流会を開催。
The City offers a civic forum using the E-Boat, a
10-passenger rubber rowboat accessible to everyone from
children to senior citizens.

カヌーってどんな競技があるの？
レーシングカヌー
複数の艇が一斉にスタートして着順を競う競技。使用する艇によりカナディ
アンとカヤックがあり、乗組員数によりシングル、ペア、フォアがあります。
カヌーポロ
1人乗りのカヌー（ポロカヤック）に乗って水上で行うハンドボールとバスケットボールを融合したような
チームスポーツで得点を競う競技。ボールは水球で使用されているものと同様のものを用いる。水球と共に
「水上の格闘技」と呼ばれる激しいスポーツです。

みよし市の魅力
［アートのまち みよし］
平成元年度から「アートのある暮らし」
をコンセプトに「アートヒル三好ケ丘彫刻フェスタ」が開催され、平成15年度
の最終回までに延べ2,273人から2,695点の応募があり、入選作品70点が市内各所に設置され、誰もが自由に触れ
ることができます。平成13年には「グッドデザイン賞 新領域デザイン部門」を受賞し、「街角に彫刻のあるまち」とし
て全国的にも名が知れ渡りました。
Miyoshi-City of Art
From fiscal year 1989, under the “Life with Art” concept, the Art Hill Miyoshigaoka Sculpture Festival was held and, through its
last event in fiscal year 2003, a total 2,695 works were submitted by 2,273 artists. Of which 70 are now located throughout the city
and anyone can touch them. In 2001, the project won the New Frontier Design domain of the prestigious Good Design Award and
became famous nationwide.

「かおり高い文化のまち」を目指し、平成元年度から彫刻フェスタを開催。平成13年に
は、「地域文化の形成に貢献しており、また、人と人との新しいコミュニケーションを提
案している」といった点が高く評価され、自治体が直接行うソフト事業としては、全国で
初めてグッドデザイン賞を受賞しました。

柿の収穫

魅力ある活力とにぎわいのまち
みよし市南部のみなよし地区は適度な気
候と肥沃な土地に恵まれた優良農地で、み
よしの特産品である柿・ナシ・ブドウの栽培
が盛んです。この特産品を使って、平成
20年には美容と健康にも良い柿酢を使っ
たドリンク「いいじゃん美人」を開発。梅と
柿酢を使った「梅風味」とブドウと柿酢を
使った「ブドウ風味」の2種類があります。
柿
また、みよし市北部の莇生町では梅の栽
Persimmon
培が盛んで、農業ブランド事業の一環とし
て梅ワインや梅干し作りに取り組んでいま
す。梅ワイン「あざみ野」は甘い口当たりで、
女性に人気の果実酒です。
The Minayoshi area in the south of Miyoshi is fertile
farm land blessed with a temperate climate and rich
soil. Much of Miyoshi’s signature produce, such as
persimmons, pears and grapes, is grown there. In
2008, a new soft drink, “Iijan Bijin” was developed
using persimmon vinegar, which is said to be good for
beauty and health. It comes in two flavors, the plum
type with plum and persimmon vinegar and the grape
type with grape and persimmon vinegar.
Plums are cultivated in Azabu town in the north of
Miyoshi. As part of agricultural branding efforts,
Azabu is producing plum wine and umeboshi. Plum
wine “Azamino” has a sweet taste and is very popular
with women.

［援農ネットみよし］
持続可能な農業の実現や市民参加による農業振興を図るため、平成25年4月から緑と花のセンター
「さんさんの
郷」を拠点として、新たな農業支援事業「援農ネットみよし」を開始しました。この事業では、耕作放棄地や後継者不
足の解消に向け、就農者の育成や地産地消の促進を目的に、「農業ふれあいコース」と「就農者育成コース」の2種類
の農業研修を開講したり、農地の貸し借りに関する情報を提供したりする「農地バンク」など、農業に触れてみたい
人、体験してみたい人、今後農業に取り組む人を支援しています。
In April 2013, the City launched En-no Net Miyoshi (Agricultural Support Network Miyoshi), a new agriculture support project, to achieve
sustainable agriculture and to promote this industry through civic participation, using as its hub the Greenery & Flower Center “Sansan-no-sato” .
The project, by offering two types of training, an “Agriculture Friendship Course” and a “Future Farmers Training Course,” aims to reduce
abandoned farming plots and reverse the shortage of future farmers. Its “Plot Bank” provides information about rental plots, helps citizens
interested in agriculture to experience farming and prepares them for a career in agriculture.
