「Performing Arts from Diaspora：デ ィアス ポ ラの 舞 台 芸 術 」
公益財団法人セゾン文化財団では、2014 年度の「レジデンス・イン・森下スタジオ、ヴィジ
ティング・フェロー」の一環として、レバノンのベイルートを拠点に活動をされている演出家、
作家のイャッド・ホサミ氏によるワークショップを開催いたします。 本ワークショップでは、言語的にマイノリティの立場にいる方々が参加する、フォーマル
またはインフォーマルな演劇を中心とする舞台芸術の活動をされている方、またそのような活
動に関心のある方とともに、これまでの活動のストーリーや情報を共有し、多様なディアスポ
ラ（母国を離れて暮らすコミュニティ）から芽生える現代の舞台芸術について考えていきたい
と思います。 また、本ワークショップでは、参加者の方々からこれまでのパフォーマンスやリサーチ、
翻訳等の活動を紹介していただくことや、様々な言語での舞台芸術のトピックについて議論し
ていくことを考えていますが、プレゼンテーションや議論に参加せずに、聴講だけでもご参加
いただけます。 アマチュア、プロフェッショナルを問わず、パフォーマー、俳優、学者、研究者、作家、
翻訳家、プロデューサーやディレクター等、参加者の方々とともに多言語で議論を深めていき
たいと考えておりますので、皆様お誘いあわせの上、ご参加くださいますようお願いいたしま

イェール大学で演劇学を専攻。大学卒業後、シリアのダマスカスを拠点に活動を行
うが、シリアの政治情勢の影響を受け、レバノンのベイルートに拠点を移し、演出

家、作家として活動している。2011 年に「Masrah Ensenmble」を設立し、近年では、
アムハラ語、アラブ語、英語の３言語を繋ぐリーディングシリーズ「Triangles」に
取り組み、アラブ圏のアーティストとともに活動を行う。また、アラブ圏の現代演

TITLE：Performing Arts from Diaspora An informal encounter and open conversation in many languages For amateurs and professionals, performers and actors, scholars and researchers, writers and translators, producers and directors The Saison Foundation and Visiting Fellow Eyad Houssami are organizing a workshop for those who have curiosity about or familiarity with formal and informal performance practices involving linguistic minority groups, with a focus on theatre. We’d like you to join our conversation, share your story and knowledge, and learn about contemporary performing arts emerging from various diasporas. NOTE: This workshop is also an opportunity for participants to present their performance, translation, or research activities and to discuss performing arts topics in a variety of languages. But it is not necessary to make a presentation or even engage in discussion in order to participate.
