【特 集】
伝統工芸品に息づく砥粒加工技術
砥粒加工技術は,今なお最先端の電子,光学部品の仕上げ用として使われつつ,伝統工芸品にも脈々と受け継がれ
ている.伝統工芸品を作る技能者,技術者,職人さん達も伝統を守りつつも常に進歩,改良を行うことで伝統の中に最
新技術を取り込んできた.実際の現場では,職人さん自身も数十年培ってきた技能,感覚を次代に伝えて残していきたい
との思いは非常に強いのであるものの伝え方が難しく,
「背中を見て覚えよ」的な発想がまだまだ多く残っている.本特集
のような伝統工芸製作の一端を文章として残していくことが,より具体的なデジタル化の一歩となり,データベースとして
感覚を伝承していくことにつながることを期待している.ご執筆にあたっては,文章化しにくい内容を苦心して書いてい
ただいた貴重な内容と技能伝承の意欲に感謝しつつ,本特集が技能および技術教育の一助となれば幸いである.
