目的・概要
This is to seek Sony Corp.'s approval for Sony Pictures Entertainment, to
use the "Sony" name in the tradename and housemark/trademark for its new
company.

Purpose and reason of using the name "Sony Pictures"
SPE wishes to form a new company, "Sony Pictures Post Production
Services Inc.", to offer post production services to internal Sony
companies, as well as to third parties. Currently known as Post
Production Facilities as a division of Sony Pictures Studios Inc., it
is one of the largest, full service post production facilities in
Hollywood. As a result of an internal restructuring at SPE,
responsibility for the facility is moving from Sony Pictures Studios
to Sony Pictures Digital Productions Inc. SPE believes that forming
a separate legal entity is the best way to operate Post Production
Facilities. As the facility wishes to market itself under the "Sony"
name, the company wishes to use the "Sony" name as part of the
proposed tradename, housemark and trademark to indicate that it is an
SPE group company and to reflect the area of its expertise.
Sony Pictures Post Production Services Inc. has five fully equipped
feature mixing stages, five television mixing stages, a renowned
scoring stage, DVD audio restoration and mastering suites, three ADR
stages, three Foley stages, sound editing rooms, digital audio
workstations, picture editing systems, and complete film and video
transfer services.
