Sametime プリントキャプチャーを使用する
IBM(R) Lotus(R) Sametime(R) SametimeR 3.1 プリントキャプチャーは、ファイル
を Sametime ホワイトボードに表示できるように変換するための「仮想プリンタ」
です。プリントキャプチャーを使うには、変換する文書を Windows(R) プログラム
で開きます。[ファイル] - [印刷] を選択し、プリンタとして [Sametime Print
Capture] を選択します。ファイルは用紙に印刷されず、Sametime ファイル (FST
または 「File for Sametime」) に変換されます。
Sametime プリントキャプチャーを使うときは、必要に応じてファイルの色、サイ
ズ、向き、解像度を設定できます。また、画面より大きいファイルを生成できるた
め、ミーティング中に最高解像度で全画面サイズの文書や図面を使用できます。画
面より大きいサイズでは、大型図面を使用しても細部まで表示できます。
ホワイトボード表示用のファイルを作成するには、次の手順に従って操作します。
1. Windows プログラムを開き、ホワイトボードに表示したい文書を開きます。
2. [ファイル] - [印刷] を選択します。
3. [印刷] ダイアログボックスで、プリンタとして [Sametime Print Capture] を
選択します。

6. 出力が完了したら、Sametime ミーティングセンターで新規のミーティングを
作成してファイルを添付できます。または、ミーティング中にファイルを添付
できます。ミーティングをスケジュールするときにファイルを添付するには、
[新規ミーティング] ページで [ファイル] タブをクリックし、Sametime プ
リントキャプチャーで作成したファイルを、[ファイル添付] ダイアログボッ
クスの [参照] をクリックして選択します。

Sametime サーバーによっては、Sametime プリントキャプチャーで作成し
た FST ファイルをホワイトボードで使用する必要があります。詳細は、
システム管理者に問い合わせてください。

Sametime プリントキャプチャーの設定を変更する
ホワイトボードファイルを作成する準備が完了したら、各ユーザーの必要に応じて
Sametime プリントキャプチャーの設定を変更できます。
ユーザーが各自のプログラムで Sametime プリントキャプチャーの設定に加えた変
更が、その特定の文書やプログラムのみに適用される場合があります。[コント
ロールパネル] の [プリンタ] のプロパティで、Sametime プリントキャプチャー
のデフォルト設定を変更できます。
Sametime プ リン トキ ャプ チャ ーの設 定変更方法は、コンピュー タのオペレー
ティングシステムによって異なります。以下の各手順では、Windows 95、Windows
98、Windows NT(R)、Windows 2000、Windows XP での設定の変更方法について説明
します。
Windows 95、Windows 98
Windows 95、Windows 98 で Sametime プリントキャプチャーの設定を変更するに
は、次の手順で操作します。

Sametime プリントキャプチャーの設定
■ 用紙サイズ
通常は、普段の印刷出力と同じ用紙サイズを使います。この設定によって、ホワイ
トボードファイルのページは、プログラムから紙に直接印刷するときと同じになり
ます。
ヒント [用紙サイズ] オプションを使用して固有の用紙サイズを定義する場合は、
用紙サイズとして [カスタムサイズ] を選択します。
■ 画面サイズに合わせる
選択した画面のサイズに合わせてホワイトボードファイルのサイズを変更するに
は、このチェックボックスをオンにします。画面より大きいサイズのファイルを
キャプチャーする場合は、このチェックボックスをオフにしてください。画面より
大きいサイズのファイルでは画面を詳細に表示できますが、ファイル全体を表示す
るためにスクロールが必要になります。
■ 画面のサイズ
望みの画面サイズを選択します。デフォルト設定による画面のサイズは 800 x 600
です。この設定を変更して、他のシステムで使うファイルを作成したり、使ってい
る画面よりも大きいファイルや小さいファイルを作成できます。詳細は、ファイル
の適切な解像度を決定するを参照してください。
■ カラー設定
出力用のカラー設定を指定します。白黒またはカラーを選択できます。ホワイト
ボードに実際に表示される色数は、モニターとビデオドライバのグラフィック機能
によって異なります。
ファイルを白黒で出力すると、ホワイトボードでの出力速度と文書転送速度が大幅
に良くなります。通常は、色数が増えるほど、ミーティングで他の参加者へ画像を
転送する時間が長くなります。次のオプションの中から選択します。
256 色最適化 : 最高品質の 256 色のファイルを生成します。この方法では、
[256 色] よりも少し出力に時間がかかりますが、画質はより良くなります。
このオプションは、ページ間で大幅に色を変更したファイルでは特に有効で
す。[256 色最適化] では、使われている実際の色数に最適の形式でファイル
が保存されます。
256 色 : 共通の固定パレットを使用したホワイトボードファイルを生成しま
す。
16 色 : Windows のデフォルトの 16 色パレットを使用したホワイトボード
ファイルを生成します。

1677 万色 : 元のカラー情報をすべて保持したホワイトボードファイルを生成
します。このファイルは、送信に非常に時間がかかることがあります。
向き : ホワイトボードファイルの用紙の向きを選択するには、この設定を使
います。[縦] 設定を選択すると、文書の向きが縦方向になります。[横] 設定
を選択すると、文書の向きが横方向になります。
ファイルの適切な解像度を決定する
Sametime プリントキャプチャーでは、作成するファイルの解像度を決定する際に、
[プロパティ] ダイアログボックスで選択されている用紙サイズと画面サイズの設
定が使われます。ファイルの解像度によって、ホワイトボードに表示されるファイ
ルのサイズが決まります。次の 2 種類の解像度のどちらかを選択できます。
低解像度 : スクロールしなくても、ファイル全体をホワイトボードで表示で
きます。
高解像度 : より詳細に表示できますが、ファイル全体をホワイトボードで表
示するにはスクロールが必要になることもあります。
スクロールを最小限にするには、使用しているモニターの解像度にできるだけ近い
解像度でファイルを作成するようにします。代表的なモニターの解像度を以下に示
します。
640 x 480 (VGA)
800 x 600 (Super VGA)
1024 x 768
画面のサイズ
[画面サイズに合わせる] オプションを選択し、モニターの解像度と一致する画面
のサイズを選択すると、Sametime プリントキャプチャーでは、ファイルに対して
[Dots Per Inch (DPI)] 設定が自動的に選択されます。この設定を選択すると、ホ
ワイトボードでスクロールせずにファイル全体を表示できます。通常のプリンタで
は、DPI はページの 1 インチ内に印刷されるドット数を表します。Sametime プ
リントキャプチャーでは、[画面サイズに合わせる] 設定と共に用紙サイズを使っ
て、ファイルの適切な DPI 設定と解像度を決定します。
Sametime プリントキャプチャーでは、Windows のデフォルトの画面フォント DPI
を超える DPI 設定は選択しないので、ファイルが画面より小さくなることがあり
ます。通常、Windows のデフォルトの画面フォントは、小さいフォントが 96 DPI、

[画面サイズに合わせる] オプションを選択していない場合は、Windows のデフォ
ルトの画面フォントによる DPI 設定がファイル作成時に適用されます。ファイル
がウィンドウサイズより大きくなってスクロールが必要になることもありますが、
画面はさらに詳細になります。ファイルの幅は、ページの幅と DPI を乗算して算
出します。ファイルの長さは、ページの高さと DPI を乗算して算出します。
用紙サイズ
非常に大きい用紙サイズを選択して小さな画面サイズに使うと、ファイルの解像度
が低すぎて詳細を見られないことがあります。
その他の要素
ホワイトボードでの見やすさは、次の要素に左右されます。
フォントサイズによって、画面上のテキストの読みやすさが変化します。ポ
イントサイズを大きくするほど読みやすくなります。
余白を小さくして画面スペースを最大化すると、読みやすくなります。
