Install a Hard Disk
For XPRESS series
Attention
Please make sure the following items are ready before you proceed:
z 3.5” hard disk
z Screwdriver with Philips tip
1. Remove the screws securing the cover of the device.
2. Remove the cover of the device.
3. Connect the SATA data cable and the power cable to the hard disk.
4. Place the hard disk into the hard disk bracket.
5. Mount the hard disk to the hard disk bracket using the provided screws.
6. Put the cover back on the device and then tighten the screws.

Attention
Please make sure the following items are ready before you proceed:
z 3.5” hard disk
z Screwdriver with Philips tip
1. Remove the screws securing the cover of the device.
2. Remove the cover of the device.
3. Remove the screws securing the hard disk bracket (A) and take it out.
4. Connect the SATA data cable and the power cable labeled HDD2 to one hard disk.
5. Place this hard disk 2 at the bottom against the remaining hard disk bracket.
6. Put the hard disk bracket (A) back to its place and tighten the screws.
7. Connect the SATA data cable and the power cable labeled HDD1 to the other hard disk.
8. Place this hard disk 1 into the hard disk bracket.
9
Mount the two hard disks to the hard disk brackets using the provided screws.
10. Put the cover back on the device and then tighten the screws.

For Slim series
Attention
Please make sure the following items are ready before you proceed:
z 2.5” hard disk
z Screwdriver with Philips tip
1. Remove the screws securing the cover of the device.
2. Remove the cover of the device.
3. Remove the screws securing the hard disk bracket.
4. Mount the hard disk, bottom up and connectors towards the wide end of the hard disk bracket,
to the hard disk bracket using the provided screws.
5. Connect the SATA data cable and the power cable to the hard disk.
6. Put the hard disk bracket with the mounted hard disk back in place and fasten the screws.
7. Put the cover back on the device and then tighten the screws.

Setup the NVR System
To set up the NVR system in your LAN environment:
Attention
Please properly configure the IP addresses of the NVR and the IP cameras
before connecting to the Switch. For example, assuming the NVR’s IP address is
192.168.10.1, an IP camera’s address should range from 192.168.10.2~240.
1. Connect IP cameras to the Switch’s LAN port.
2. Plug the RJ-45 connectors into the NVR’s LAN port and the Switch’s LAN port.
3. Plug the AC adapter into the DC-Jack of the NVR. Plug the other end of the power cable into a
standard AC power outlet. After the NVR has booted, it will beep three times and the HDD
indicator will blink slowly to indicate that the hard disk has not yet been formatted for use.
Note: If no hard disk is installed when the NVR is powered on, the NVR will beep every 10
seconds and the HDD indicator will blink slowly.
4. Press and hold the “Multi-function” button on the front panel of the device for 3 seconds to begin
the fully automatic setup of the NVR. The hard disk will be formatted first. The HDD indicator will
blink quickly to indicate that the hard disk format is in process. (For Slim series: use the included
MFB pin to press the “Multi-function” button.)
5. The NVR will beep twice when the format process is finished and the status indicator will blink
quickly. The NVR will now add all available IP-cameras in your network to the NVR
automatically. When the cameras are added, the NVR will reboot, indicated by a long beep.
Note: The IP-cameras need to be in their factory default configuration for automatic setup to
work.
6. Connect a PC or Laptop to the Switch’s LAN port.
7. Insert the Installation CD, included with your NVR, into your CD-ROM drive.

8. Double click the “vcredist_x86.exe” file in your language on the CD-ROM to install the “Microsoft
Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86)”. Attention: If you are running on
Windows XP / 8, you must install this patch before you can start monitoring. Otherwise please
proceed with the next step.
9. Run the “Network Device Search Tool” application on the CD-ROM to search for NVRs.
10. Your NVR works properly when the NVR appears in the Network Device Search Tool window.
11. Double-click on your NVR. The NVR’s login page should be opened automatically. Enter the
NVR’s “Username” and “Password” and change the “Language” if necessary, then click on the
“Login” button to log in to the NVR. The “admin” and “admin” are the default user name and
password for your first login of the NVR as Administrator. If you are prompted to install an
element required to view the live view page of the NVR, please follow the on-screen instructions
to install the element.

Information
Easy Accessibility with EasyLink and UDID
The EasyLink program allows you to easily connect to your NVR from any computer using the
NVR’s Unique Device Identification (UDID).
How to obtain the UDID
Method I – by using a USB drive
1. Connect a USB drive to the NVR.
2. Press the “Multi-function” button. (For Slim series: use the included MFB pin to press the
“Multi-function” button.)
3. The NVR will beep and copy the files required to establish a connection via EasyLink to the USB
drive (including a .bmp file containing a QR-code image with the UDID).
4. The NVR will beep twice to indicate that the files have been copied successfully. Please wait 5
seconds before removing the USB drive from the NVR.
Method II – by using a mobile device
1. Scan the QR-code on the device with your mobile device to obtain the 20-digit UDID.
Note: An application capable of scanning QR-codes is required.

Method III – by using a computer
1. Log in to your NVR using the IP address of the NVR and open the “Setup” > “System” > “Status”
page. The UDID will be listed there.
2. Write down the UDID.
Connect to your NVR from any computer using EasyLink and UDID
1. Visit our website to download the EasyLink setup program or insert the installation CD into your
CD-ROM drive. Launch the setup program to install the EasyLink program. If you used the USB
drive method to obtain the UDID, connect it to your computer.
2. Launch the EasyLink program from the shortcut from your desktop. If you used the USB drive
method to obtain the UDID, launch the EasyLink.exe file on your USB drive. If you are prompted
to allow the program through the Windows Firewall, please click on the “Allow access” button to
allow it.
3. Enter the 20-digit UDID into the UDID field. If you used the USB drive method described earlier,
the UDID will be loaded automatically. Enter the HTTP port number if needed. The default port
number is 80.
4. Click on the “Create Tunnel” button.
5. Click on the “Connect” button. The NVR’s login window will open in your default web browser.
6. Enter the NVR’s “Username” and “Password” and change the “Language” if necessary, then
click on the “Login” button to log in to the NVR.
Attention
z The connection dialog of the EasyLink program has to be kept open when
using this method to connect to your NVR. If you accidently close the
EasyLink program, just launch it again and click on the “Create Tunnel” button
to continue using your NVR.
z If the NVR system times out due to inactivity, you need to close and re-launch
the EasyLink program. Then click on the “Create Tunnel” button to continue
using your NVR.
z When you are done using the NVR, click on the “LogOut” button on the NVR
homepage, then click on the “Close” and “Exit” button in the EasyLink
program.

6. Legen Sie die Festplattenhalterung mit montierter Festplatte zurück und ziehen Sie die
Schrauben an.
7. Legen Sie die Abdeckung zurück auf das Gerät und ziehen Sie die Schrauben an.

Anschließen des NVR-Systems
So schließen Sie das NVR-System an Ihre Netzwerkumgebung an:
Achtung
Bitte konfigurieren Sie die IP-Adressen des NVRs und der IP-Kameras, bevor Sie
diese mit dem Switch verbinden. Angenommen die IP-Adresse des NVRs ist
192.168.10.1, dann sollten die IP-Adressen der IP-Kameras im Bereich
192.168.10.2~240 liegen.
1. Verbinden Sie IP-Kameras mit den LAN-Anschlüssen Ihres Switches.
2. Verbinden Sie über ein Netzwerkkabel den LAN-Anschluss des NVRs port mit einem
LAN-Anschluss Ihres Switches.
3. Verbinden Sie das Netzteil des NVR mit dem Stromanschluss am NVR. Schließen Sie das
andere Ende des Netzteil an eine Standard-Wechselstromsteckdose. Nachdem der NVR
hochgefahren ist, wird er dreimal piepen und der Festplattenindikator wird langsam blinken, um
zu signalisieren, dass die Festplatte noch nicht zur Verwendung formatiert wurde.
Hinweis: Wenn der NVR angeschaltet wird und keine Festplatte installiert ist, wird der NVR alle
10 Sekunden piepen und der Festplattenindikator wird langsam blinken.
4. Drücken Sie die „Multifunktionstaste“ auf der Vorderseite des NVRs für 3 Sekunden, um die
vollautomatische Konfiguration des NVRs einzuleiten. Zuerst wird die Festplatte formatiert. Der

7. Legen Sie die im Lieferumfang Ihres NVR enthaltene Installations-CD in Ihr CD-ROM-Laufwerk.
8. Doppelklicken Sie auf die Datei „vcredist_x86“ in Ihrem Sprachverzeichnis auf der CD-ROM um
„Microsoft Visual C++2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86)“ zu installieren. Achtung: Wenn

Pour installer le système de NVR dans votre environnement LAN:
Attention
Veuillez configurer correctement les adresses IP du NVR et des caméras IP
avant la connexion au Commutateur. Par exemple, si l'adresse IP du NVR est
192.168.10.1, une adresse de caméra IP doit se trouver entre 192.168.10.2 et
240.
1. Branchez les caméras IP au port LAN du switch.
2. Branchez les connecteurs RJ-45 sur le port LAN du NVR et le port LAN du switch.
3. Branchez l'adaptateur à la prise C.C-Jack du NVR. Brancher l'autre extrémité du câble
électrique à une prise de Courant Alt. mural standard. Une fois le NVR démarré, il émettra un
bip trois fois et le voyant HDD clignotera lentement pour indiquer que le disque dur n'a pas
encore été formaté pour utilisation.
Remarque : Si aucun disque dur n'est installé lorsque le NVR est allumé, celui-ci émettra un bip
une fois toutes les 10 secondes et le voyant HDD clignotera lentement.
4. Appuyez sur et maintenez le bouton « Multi-function » sur le panneau avant de l'appareil
pendant 3 secondes pour commencer la configuration automatique complète du NVR. Le
disque dur sera d'abord formaté. Le voyant HDD clignotera rapidement pour indiquer que le
formatage du disque dur est en cours. (Pour les séries Slim: utilisez la goupille de bouton
Multi-function fournie pour appuyer sur le bouton « Multi-function ».)
5. Le NVR émettra deux bips lorsque le processus de formatage est terminé, et le voyant d'état

8. Double cliquez le fichier« vcredist_x86.exe » dans votre langue sur le CD-ROM pour installer le
paquet de Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistribuable (x86). Attention: Si vous utilisez
Windows XP / 8, vous devez installer ce patch avant de commencer à surveiller. Sinon, vous
pouvez ignorer cette procedure et continuer l'étape suivante.
9. Exécutez l'application « Network Device Search Tool » sur le CD-ROM pour rechercher des
NVR.
10. Quand NVR affiche les listes dans la fenêtre d'outil du dispositif de recherche de réseau, votre
NVR fonctionne correctement.
11. La page de connexion NVR s'ouvre automatiquement. Saisissez le « Nom d’utilisateur » et le
« Mot de passe » du NVR, modifiez la « Langue » si nécessaire, puis cliquez sur le bouton de
« Connexion » pour vous connecter au NVR. « admin » et « admin » sont les noms d’utilisateur
et mot de passé par défaut pour votre première ouverture de session NVR comme

Accessibilité facile avec EasyLink et UDID
Le programme EasyLink vous permet de vous connecter facilement à votre NVR depuis n'importe

Comment obtenir l'UDID

NVR システムのセットアップ
ご使用の LAN 環境における NVR システムのセットアップ:
注意
スイッチに接続する前に、NVR と IP カメラの IP アドレスを正しく設定してください。例え
ば 、 NVR の IP ア ド レ ス が 192.168.10.1 の 場 合 は 、 IP カ メ ラ の ア ド レ ス は
192.168.10.2~240 の範囲に設定します。
1. IP カメラをスイッチの LAN ポートに接続します。
2. RJ-45 コネクタを NVR の LAN ポートおよびスイッチの LAN ポートに接続します。
3. ＡＣアダプタをＮＶＲのＤＣジャックに挿入します。電源ケーブルの他端を一般のＡＣ電源コンセントに挿
入します。NVR が起動されると、ブザーが 3 回鳴り、ＨＤＤインジケーターがゆっくり点滅して、ハード
ディスクが使用するためにフォーマットされていないことを示します。
メモ：NVR の電源をオンにしたときにハードディスクがインストールされていない場合は、NVR のブザ
ーが 10 秒置きに鳴り、ＨＤＤインジケーターがゆっくり点滅します。
4. 本体フロントパネルの「Multi-function」ボタンを３秒間押し続けると、NVR の全自動セットアップが開
始されます。まず、ハードディスクがフォーマットされます。HDD インジケーターが早く点滅してハード
ディスクがフォーマット中であることを表示します。(Slim シリーズ用: 付属の Multi-function ボタンピ
ン で “Multi-function” ボタンを押します。)
5. フォーマット処理が終了すると NVR のブザーが 2 回鳴り、ステータス表示が早く点滅します。これで
NVR はネットワーク上で利用可能な IP カメラを自動的に追加します。カメラが追加されると NVR は長
めのブザー音と共に再起動します。
メモ：自動設定が有効となるには、IP カメラは工場デフォルト設定にしておく必要があります。
6. PC またはノートブックをスイッチの LAN ポートに接続します。
7. NVR に付属のインストール CD を CD-ROM ドライブに入れます。

8. 使用言語の CD-ROM 上の 「vcredist_x86」 ファイルをダブルクリックして、Microsoft Visual C++

1. 取下本装置机壳的螺丝。
2. 取下本装置的机壳。
3. 取下固定硬盘支架的螺丝。
4. 以随机所附的螺丝将硬盘锁附在硬盘支架上，底朝上并且将接头朝向硬盘支架较宽的那一端。
5. 将 SATA 排线及电源线连接至硬盘。
6. 将已锁附硬盘的硬盘支架放回原来的位置并锁紧螺丝。
7. 将本装置的机壳盖回并锁紧螺丝。

安装 NVR 系统
请按照下列步骤在局域网络内安装 NVR 系统：
在您连接网络摄影机到交换器之前，请先设定好 NVR 和网络摄影机的 IP 地址。例
如：假设 NVR 的 IP 地址是 192.168.10.1 的话，网络摄影机的地址可以是

192.168.10.2~240。
1. 将网络摄影机连接到交换器的 LAN 局域网络端口。
2. 将 RJ-45 接头插入 NVR 的 LAN 局域网络端口和交换器的 LAN 局域网络端口。
3. 将交流电源变压器连接至 NVR 的直流电源插孔。然后将电源线的另一端插入标准交流电源插座，
接通电源。NVR 激活后将会发出三次哔声，并且 HDD 指示灯会缓慢闪烁以显示硬盘尚未格式化
未能使用。
注意：如果 NVR 通电后却无安装硬盘时，NVR 每隔 10 秒发出哔声并且 HDD 指示灯将缓慢闪烁。
4. 按住装置前面板上的“多功能”按钮持续 3 秒钟即开始 NVR 的全自动安装。首先硬盘将被格式化，
HDD 指示灯会快速闪烁以显示正在进行硬盘格式化。(Slim 系列以随机所附的多功能针按住“多功
能”按钮。)
5. 当格式化过程完成后 NVR 将会哔响两次，并且状态指示灯会快速闪烁。此时 NVR 将搜寻您网络
中所有可用的 IP 摄影机并自动新增至 NVR 上。当摄影机新增完成后，系统将自动重新激活并发
出长哔声。
注意：IP 摄影机需为其出厂默认值以进行自动设定。
6. 将个人计算机或笔记型计算机连接到交换器的 LAN 局域网络端口。
7. 将随机附赠的驱动安装光盘放入光驱内。
8. 按两下「vcredist_x86.exe」执行档，安装 Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package
(x86)。注意: 如果您使用 Windows XP/8 操作系统，在您开始监看之前请先安装此修补程序，否
则请进行下一步骤。
9. 请执行安装光盘上的「Network Device Search Tool」程序搜寻 NVR。

11. NVR 登入页面将自动显示，输入 NVR 的「使用者名称」和「密码」并选择所要使用的语言，再
点击「登入」按键即可登入 NVR。「admin」和「admin」是您首次以管理者身份登入 NVR 时，
系统预设的「使用者名称」和「密码」。如果系统提示您需安装套件以查看 NVR 的实时影像页面，

机连接您的 NVR。
如何取得 UDID
方法 I – 使用 USB 随身碟
1. 将 USB 随身碟连接到 NVR 上。
2. 按下“多功能”按钮。(Slim 系列以随机所附的多功能针按住“多功能”按钮。)
3. NVR 会发出哔声，并复制透过 EasyLink 建立联机所需的所有档案到 USB 随身碟里（包括内含
QR-code 条形码图像及 UDID 的 bmp 档案）。
4. NVR 会哔响两声以显示档案已复制，请等待 5 秒钟再从 NVR 上移除 USB 随身碟。
方法 II – 使用手持装置
1. 使用手持装置扫描在装置上的 QR-code 条形码图像以获取 20 码 UDID。
注意：可扫描 QR 条形码的装置程序是必要的。
方法 III – 使用计算机
1. 使用 NVR 的 IP 地址登入您的 NVR 并开启「设定」>「系统」>「状态」页面，UDID 将被显示于
此页面上。

使用 EasyLink 和 UDID 从任何计算机连接您的 NVR
1. 请到我们的网站下载 EasyLink 安装程序或将安装光盘插入您的光驱中，激活安装程序即可安装
EasyLink 程序。如果您使用 USB 随身碟来取得 UDID，将随身碟连接到您的计算机。
2. 从您的桌面快捷方式激活 EasyLink 程序。如果您使用 USB 随身碟方法来取得 UDID，激活您 USB
随身碟上的 EasyLink.exe 档案。如果系统提示您允许程序通过 Windows 防火墙，请点击「允许
存取」按键以允许此程序。
3. 请在 UDID 字段中输入 20 码 UDID。如果您使用前面描述的 USB 随身碟方法，此 UDID 将被自
动显示。如果必要，请输入网页连接埠资料。预设连接埠为 80。
4. 点击「Create Tunnel」按键。
5. 点击「Connect」按键，NVR 登入窗口将在您预设的 web 浏览器中开启。
6. 输入 NVR 的「使用者名称」和「密码」并选择所要使用的语言，再点击「登入」按键即可登入
NVR。
z 使用此方法连接您的 NVR 时，EasyLink 程序的连接对话框必须保持开启。如
果不小心关闭 EasyLink 程序，只需再次激活它并点击「Create Tunnel」按键
以继续使用您的 NVR。
z 如果 NVR 系统因为活动静止而中断，您需要关闭并重新激活 EasyLink 程序，
注意
然后点击「Create Tunnel」按键以继续使用您的 NVR。
z 当您使用完 NVR 后，在 NVR 首页点击「注销」按键，然后在 EasyLink 程序
中点击「Close」和「Exit」按键。
