アニマルニュートリション部　Animal Nutrition
飼料用総合アミノ酸メーカーとして、必須アミノ酸
であるDL-メチオニン（メットアミノ®）を中心に、Lトレオニン（トレアミノ®）、L-トリプトファン（トリ
プアミノ®）、硫酸L-リジン（バイオリス®）および反
芻動物用ルーメンバイパスメチオニン（メプロン®）
を提供しています。なかでも、DL-メチオニン（メッ
トアミノ®）は世界市場においてトップシェアを誇
り、エボニックのコアビジネスに位置づけられてい
ます。これらの製品を飼料に添加することで動物
の成長促進と原料コストの削減が実現し、生産
効率の拡大に役立ちます。また、窒素排出が削減
されるので環境負担の軽減にも貢献します。さら
に、こうした製品の利点を強化するのが、実績あ
る技術サービスの提供です。世界的にも高い評価

Evonik is the only company in the world to produce and
market all four of the important amino acids for modern
animal nutrition̶MetAMINO® (DL-Methionine),
Biolys® (L-Lysine), Mepron®(rumen-protected methionine
for ruminants),ThreAMINO® (L-Threonine) and
TrypAMINO® (L-Tryptophan). Supplemental feed grade
amino acids enable an efficient and sustainable production
of nutritionally valuable animal protein from meat, fish
and dairy products for a growing and more affluent
world population. Evonik research has demonstrated
through extensive live cycle assessments (LCA) that
supplemental amino acids can greatly reduce the emission
of climate damaging green house gases. In addition,
Evonik provides a wide range of comprehensive AMINO
services for the feed and livestock industry. Using stateof-the-art analytical procedures and accuracy, more
than 12,000 samples of raw materials, premixes and
compound feeds were analyzed by Evonik through wet
chemistry in 2009. With NIR technology 18,000 samples
are analyzed annually in our satellite labs, and in total over
125,000 customer samples. Based on the experience of
our laboratories, we have developed a valuable set of
customer services to help you optimize your business.

い薬という観 点からの苦味 制 御、水無しで飲
める口腔内速 崩壊錠、皮 膚に貼るだけで良い
T D DS 技 術など、あらゆる領 域でお客 様の製
品 価 値 創 造に寄 与しています。近年では乳 酸
とグリコール酸を共重合させた生分解 性ポリ
マーである高純度PLGA（GMPグレード）に関
してもRESOMER（ドイツ製・カタログ品）及び
RESOMER SELECT（米国製・カスタム品）の
ブランドにて世界的に供給しています。また米国
ラボではPLGAのカスタマイズは言うに及ばず、
注射用マイクロスフィアやインプラント製剤の治
験薬受託、さらにはそれらDDS技術を適用した
高薬理活性薬物のスケールアップ及びその受託

EUDRAGIT® is the functional coating base for
pharmaceutical applications that is used as the
global standard by a great number of pharmaceutical
companies worldwide. It contributes to improvement
of people’s health and quality of life. The product
range contributes to value creation by our clients
in a range of fields, such as the taste masking of
bitterness drugs for easier oral administration, oral
fast-disintegrating tablets for consumption without
water and TDDS technology for delivering drugs
through the skin. In recent years, Evonik has provided
the world with high-purity PLGA (GMP grade), the
biodegradable polymer with lactic acid and glycolic
acid copolymerized, under brand names: RESOMER
(manufactured in Germany/catalog product) and
RESOMER SELECT (manufactured in the United
States/custom product).
In addition to customizing PLGA, Birmingham
Laboratory also serves as a CRO for microspheres
for injections and implant drug products, scales up
including high potent API applying DDS technology,
and plays a CMO role for production of various final
dosage form for parenteral application.

るだけで十分です。FAVOR®は赤ちゃんのオムツ
だけでなく、尿漏れ防止パッドや女性の生理用
品にも使用されています。
When diapers keep becoming lighter and lighter yet
even more absorbent, it's because of superabsorbers
from Evonik. Our acrylic acid-based crosslinked
polymers can hold many times their own mass in
water. Only ten grams of superabsorber are needed
to keep babies dry. Aside from babies'diapers,
FAVOR® superabsorbers are also used in incontinence
products and women's hygiene products.

The activities of the Business Line focus on
application solutions for coating and printing ink
technologies, based on a product portfolio that
ranges from additives and co-binders to specialty
resins and nanoresins. The TEGO® brand comprises
a wide range of additives like defoamers,
deaerators, wetting and dispersion additives, flow
additives, radiation-curing additives, rheological
additives as well as hydrophobing agents and
stands for state-of-the-art coating formulations. The Business Line has particular expertise in
shaping flow and surface properties that play an
essential role in coating technology. The Business
Line also distributes high-quality specialty
resins such as the organosilicons of the
SILIKOFTAL®, SILIKOPHEN® and SILIKOPON®
brands and offers tailor-made solutions for special
applications, including anti-graffiti or anti-corrosive

The Crosslinkers Business Line occupies a leading
position in raw materials and hardeners for coating
technology and is also an important supplier of raw
materials in the area of high-performance specialty
polymers.
Crosslinkers is the only producer worldwide
with over 40 years of experience in isophorone
chemistry and five production sites in Europe, the
US and China.In addition to serving as a starting
material for a wide range of chemical syntheses,
isophorone is also used as a specialty solvent for,
for example, coatings and printing inks. Diamines of
the VESTAMIM brand name are used as hardeners
for epoxy resins, which find application in corrosion
protection, concrete restoration, and industrial floor
coatings and as composite materials.
Di- and polyisocyanates of the VESTANAT brand
names are used in the production of binders and as
crosslinkers in high quality polyurethane coatings
with both high resistance to light, weathering and
excellent chemical resistance. Elastomers based on
VESTANAT raw materials give excellent elasticity
and haptics. Under the VESTAGON® brand name,
Crosslinkers markets various grades of hardeners
for powder coatings with excellent weathering
resistance.

Various special ester of methacrylic acid, methyl
methacrylate, meta-acrylics, or an acrylics base is
mentioned as a manufacturing item.
From a bulk monomer, the synthetic resin which
achieves the duty as a binder in a waterproof paint
and varnish is manufactured.
A performance monomer produces adhesion between
the old paintwork of a paint product, and new paintwork,
or carries out property modification of the performance
of structure adhesives, hair care products, etc.

Since 2011, Evonik has worked in conjunction with

areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake.

Construction of Nursery
エボニック グループとセーブ・ザ・チルドレン・
The Evonik Group in Japan and Save the Children Japan
cooperated on a project to construct a new nursery,
due to the relocation of the Yamotohigashi nursery in
Higashimatsushima, Miyagi, which was damaged in
the Great East Japan Earthquake. Construction was
completed in October 2012, and as the largest daycare facility in Higashimatsushima, it is contributing to
the reorganization of the city’s day-care centers and
helping to improve the childcare environment.

Evonik seeks to communicate with members of local
communities by taking part in events such as festivals
and holding session for information exchanges. We
are also actively engaged in chemical experiment
shows at nearby schools, which we regard as a part of
activities to communicate with local neighborhoods.
