―原子炉燃料の事故時挙動評価に関する研究成果の報告―
の開催について（お知らせ）
国立研究開発法人日本原子力研究開発機構（理事長 児玉 敏雄）は１０月１８日（火）
及び１９日（水）、茨城県水戸市のホテル テラス ザ ガーデン水戸において「燃料安全
研究国際会議 2016（Fuel Safety Research Meeting 2016）」を開催します。
原子炉の安全確保のためには、工学的に厳しく設定した事故条件下においてもなお燃
料の安全性が維持されることを確認する必要があります。現在、世界各国において、更
なる安全性向上及び高度利用を目指した軽水炉燃料の開発並びに原子炉の事故対策が進
められており、これに対応した安全性確認などに必要な事故時燃料挙動に関する知見の
取得が重要なテーマとなっています。この会議では、原子力機構から燃料安全研究の成
果を、また、米国、フランスなど欧米各国の専門家から事故時の燃料挙動、高燃焼度燃
料挙動などの研究成果を発表し技術的な討論及び情報交換を行います。
