用にならなかったときは、表示が出るま でに時間がかかる場合があります。 S9711/33、S9712/33の主な表示（本体） ●残量表示 充電残量はディスプレイ上に使用可能量（ % ） として表示されます。 スイッチのON/OFFの際に数秒間点灯します。 ●充電表示（充電アダプタで充電する場合） 充電中は、充電残量（%） とバッテリー マークの表示が点滅します。 ●充電完了表示 充電が完了すると、充電残量（%）の表示が点灯し続けます。満充 電後、 約30分経過すると消えます。 ※満充電後に本体を再び充電アダプタに接続すると、充電残量（％）の表示が点灯しますが、故障ではありません。 ●充電催促表示 充電残量が少なくなると、 バッテリーマークが赤色に点灯します。 （スイッチを切ると、 充電残量 （%） の表示が数秒間点灯し、 ビープ音が鳴ります） ●クリーニング表示 スイッチを切ると、 クリーニングをうながすために蛇口マーク が点滅します。表示されるタイミングは使用時間・状況により異なります。お手入れ 方法 （P20∼26） をご参照ください。 ●シェービングヘッド交換表示 シェービングヘッドの交換マークが点滅すると、交換 時期です。シェービングヘッドを交換してください（P27参照）。 ●ブロック表示 シェービングヘッドに長いヒゲがからまっていたりシェービングヘッ ドが破損していると、 「！」マーク、 シェービングヘッドの交換表示、 クリーニング表示 が同時に点滅しビープ音が鳴ります。この場合、スイッチをONにすることができ ません。シェービングヘッドをお手入れするか、交換してください（P20∼27参照）。 3 sec. ●ロック表示（カギマークが表示されているとスイッチは入りません） ON/OFFス イッチを約3秒長押しするとカギマークが表示されます。さらにON/OFFスイッチ を押し続けると、 3秒前からカウントダウンが開始され0になるとカギマークが点滅 しロックがかかります。再度ON/OFFスイッチを約3秒長押しすると解除できます。 ●パーソナルコンフォート表示 ヒゲの濃さや肌タイプに合わせて最適な設定を 選択可能。ON/OFFスイッチの両脇にある+/−のボタンを押すとパーソナルコ ンフォート表示が点灯し設定を変更できます （P13参照）。 ●オーバーヒーティング表示 充電中、万が一シェーバーがオーバーヒートした場 合、 「!」マークが赤色に点滅します。その場合、充電が自動的に中断し、温度が下が ると充電が再開されます。 9 が 、同じように動 作します 。以 下 、 S9521/26 、S9521/12 、S9522/26 、 S9522/12 の LED 表示を例にご説明 します。 ●残量表示 満充電の時は全てのランプが点灯し、充電残量が少なくなるとと もに充電表示ランプの表示が下がっていきます。スイッチの ON/OFF の際 に充電表示ランプが数秒間点灯します。 ●充電表示（充電アダプタで充電する場合） 充電中は一番下の充電表示ランプ が白色に点滅します。点灯に変わると、1つ上のランプが順次、点滅∼点灯に変 わります。 ●充電完了表示 充電が完了すると、全ての充電表示ランプが点灯します。満充 電後、 約30分経過すると充電表示ランプが消えます。 ※満充電後に本体を再び充電アダプタに接続すると、充電表示ランプが点灯しますが、故障ではありません。 ●充電催促表示 「!」マークが赤色に点滅します。その場合、充電が自動的に中断し、温度が下が ると充電が再開されます。 10 洗浄充電器の主な表示説明 ●JC5301（S9711/33、S9712/33用洗浄充電器） 洗浄段階と乾燥段階の二段階あり、進捗状況がプログレスインジケー ターに表示されます。 ●JC5202（S9521/26、S9522/26、S9151/26、S9152/26用洗浄充電器） 洗浄段階と乾燥段階の二段階あります。プログレスインジケーターは ありません。 ※洗浄時間や乾燥時間は前後することがあります。 ●洗浄ランプ 洗浄中は洗浄ランプが点灯します。 （JC5202は洗浄ランプが点滅します） 洗浄時間は約 10分です。 洗浄が終わるとドライランプが点灯します。 （ JC5202はドライランプが点滅します） ●ドライランプ シェーバーの乾燥中はドライランプが点灯します。 （JC5202はドライランプが点滅します） 乾燥時間は約 4時間です。 乾燥が終わるとクリーニング完了ランプが点灯します。 ●クリーニング完了ランプ クリーニングプログラムが終了すると点灯します。 ●バッテリーランプ シェーバーの充電中はバッテリーランプが点滅し、 充電が完了すると点灯します。 （充電時間は約 1 時間です） ●クリーニングカートリッジ交換ランプ クリーニングカートリッジの交換をうながすために 赤色に点滅します。 11 お客様による充電池の交換はできません。 充電の仕方 この商品は通常約1時間充電です。 満充電で約50分使用できます。 ※充電中はシェーバーをご使用いただけません。 初めてお使いになるときや、長い間ご使用にならなかったときは、充電しないと使用できません。ご使 用前に充電してください。充電時間は約1時間です。充電開始後数分間、充電表示ランプが点滅しない ことがありますが、そのまま充電すると充電表示ランプが点滅します。海外（100∼240V）でのご使用 も可能です。ただし、コンセントの形状や電圧など現地で充分お確かめのうえご使用ください。 ※本製品はリチウムイオン電池を使用していますが、 ご使用の都度充電をしても充電池の寿命には影響ありません。 充電アダプタで充電する場合 1 シェーバー本体の電源が切 れていることを確認してくだ ［ クイックチャージ ］ 充電残量が0の状態で充電アダプタで充電す る場合、以下の表示になると一回分のシェー ビング（約3分間）に十分な充電残量が確保さ れています。 さい。 2 充電アダプタの電源コネクタ 部をシェーバー本体の電源コ ●S9711/33、S9712/33…充電残量（％） とバッ （S9711/33、S9712/33、S9521/26、S9522/26、S9151/26、S9152/26のみ） 1 充電アダプタの電源コネクタ部を洗浄 充電器の電源コネクタ受部に差し込 シェーバー本体のLED表示を後ろ向き 3 にして、 シェービングユニットを下向き みます。 にします （図❶）。シェーバーの電源コネ クタ受部が洗浄充電器のキャップにう まくはまるように、キャップの上からカチ ※シェーバーをセットするときに刃を傷つけないよう充分に気をつけてください。 ※通常の目安として満充電で1日3分使用し、約16日間使用できますが、 ご使用状況（使用時間・ヒゲの濃さな ど） により変わります。 注意 ●専用の充電アダプタ以外での充電は行わないでください。 ●長期間使用しない場合や、使ったり使わなかったりして保管しておくと、 充電池が過放電し液漏れして使えなくなります。 12 シェービングの 仕方（ドライ） 警告 肌が乾いた状態でのシェービングの 仕方です。 ●シェーバー本体は防水加工をしており、浴室でも使用できますが、水や液 体の中に浸けないでください（故障の原因となります）。 ●シェーバーは安全のため、必ずコードレスの状態でお使いください。 ●モーターの始動時、微弱の振動がシェーバー本体に伝わりますが、問題はありません。 ●ほこりなどで肌が汚れている場合、 ふきとってからご使用ください。 ●ご使用の前に外刃の破れや変形がないか確認してください。 （外刃に破れや変形があると肌を傷つける原因になります） ●ヒゲ剃り以外の目的（頭髪など） には、使用しないでください。 ●S9711/33、S9712/33 は静止している本体を手に取るなどすると、本体が振動を感知し、 充電残量の表示が白く光ります。 電源 3 シェービング後はスイッチを押し、 す。ON/OFFスイッチの両 側にある＋/−のボタンを押 すと設定を変更できます。 表示 モード センシティブ ノーマル ハイスピード 13 使用シーン 肌の敏感な箇所を剃るのに最適な やさしい剃り心地 普段使いに最適 ヒゲが密集している箇所や、素早い シェービングで時間を節約したい場合 上手に 剃るには 肌に強く押しつけるのではなく、軽く押しあてるのがコツです。 ほお 肌を伸ばし、 ヒゲを立たせるように小さく回 しながら剃ります。 あごの裏側 刃を肌に軽くあて、図のようにあごを上げて 回転させながら剃ります。 ほおの奥から首筋 片方の手で肌を後ろに引っ張り小さく回しな がら剃ります。 鼻の下 鼻の下を伸ばし、 小さく回しながら剃ります。 フィリップスのシェーバーを初めてお使いの方は、 剃り方に慣れるまで2∼3週間かかることがあり ます。 初めてのシェービングで思い通りの結果が得られないことや、 少し肌にヒリヒリ感が残る場合 がありますが、 これは普通のことです。 フィリップスのシェーバーに限らずシェービング方法を変え る時には、肌もヒゲも新しいシェービング方法に慣れる時間が必要です。新しいシェーバーに肌を （最低でも1週間に3回以上） 。 この 慣らす為、 まずは3週間このシェーバーを使い続けてみてください 3週間は、あまりシェービング方法を変えたりせず、同じシェーバーで肌を慣らすことが大切です。 14 シェービングフォームやシェービング ジェルを使ったシェービングの仕方で す。剃った部分を実感しながら、なめら かなシェービングができます。 シェービングの 仕方（ウェット） 警告 ●シェーバー本体は防水加工をしており、浴室でも使用できますが、水 や液体の中に浸けないでください（故障の原因となります）。 ●シェーバーは安全のため、必ずコードレスの状態でお使いください。 ●モーターの始動時、微弱の振動がシェーバー本体に伝わりますが、問題はありません。 ●ご使用の前に外刃の破れや変形がないか確認してください。 （外刃に破れや変形があると肌を傷つける原因になります） ●ヒゲ剃り以外の目的（頭髪など） には、使用しないでください。 ●石けんもお使いいただけますが、肌の上での滑りをよくするため、 スイッチを押してください。 ●洗浄中は、洗浄充電器を動かしたり、 クリーニングカートリッジを取り外さないでく ださい。 ●シェービングユニット内にヒゲクズがたまりすぎたり、長いヒゲがある場合は、 きれ いに洗浄できない場合があります。P23 を参照し、 水洗いできれいにしてください。 21 クリーニングカートリッジの交換方法 クリーニングカートリッジ交換ランプ （P8参照） タオルやティッシュペーパーを使 用しないでください。刃を傷める場合があります。 シェービングヘッドのお手入れ方法 ※洗剤は使用しないでください。 ※ぬるま湯（ 40 ℃前後）でのお手入れをおすすめします。臭いのもととなる皮脂や汗などが取れやすくなり ます。ただし、熱湯はお止めください。故障の原因となります。 ※お手入れ中にシェ−バーの底から水が漏れてくる場合がありますが、異常ではありません。 トをぬるま湯または 1 シェービングユニッ 水で約30秒洗います。 シェービングヘッドホルダーにたまった 3 ヒゲクズをぬるま湯または水で約 30 トからシェービング 2 シェービングユニッ ヘッドホルダーを取り外してください。 ドホルダーの余分な 4 シェービングヘッ 水を切り、 よく乾かします。 秒洗い流します。 ※周囲に気をつけてください。 シェービング 5 乾いたことを確認したら、 Travel lock You can lock the shaver when you are going to travel. The travel lock prevents the shaver from being switched on by accident. 3 sec. Activating the travel lock 1Press the on/off button for 3 seconds to enter the travel lock mode. ,, While you activate the travel lock, the travel lock symbol lights up white continuously. When the travel lock is activated, the shaver produces a sound and the travel lock symbol flashes. Deactivating the travel lock 1Press the on/off button for 3 seconds. ,, The travel lock symbol flashes and then lights up continuously. The shaver is now ready for use again. 40 ENGLISH Note:You can also deactivate the travel lock by connecting the appliance to the mains. Replacing shaving heads For maximum shaving performance, we advise you to replace the shaving heads every two years. Note:The displays of the various shaver types look different, but show the same symbol. -- The appliance is equipped with a replacement reminder which reminds you to replace the shaving heads. The replacement reminder lights up white continuously and the arrows flash white. You hear a beep to indicate you have to replace the shaving heads. Note: After replacing the shaving heads, you need to reset the shaver by pressing the on/off button for 7 seconds. Exclamation mark Blocked shaving heads Note:The displays of the various shaver types look different, but show the same symbol. -- If the shaving heads are blocked, the exclamation mark lights up orange continuously. The replacement reminder and the cleaning reminder flash white alternately and you hear a sound. In this case, the motor cannot run because the shaving heads are soiled or damaged. -- When this happens, you have to clean the shaving heads or replace them. Overheating 41 ENGLISH -- If the appliance overheats during charging, the exclamation mark flashes orange. -- When this happens, the shaver automatically switches off. Charging continues once the appliance is back to the normal temperature. Charging Charging takes approx. 1 hour. A fully charged shaver has a shaving time of up to 50 minutes. Note:You cannot use the appliance while charging. Note for S9712/33, S9711/33:When the battery is fully charged, the display shows the actual remaining battery charge percentage. Charge the shaver before you use it for the first time and when the display indicates that the battery is almost empty . Charging with the adapter 1Make sure the appliance is switched off. 2Insert the small plug into the appliance (1) and put the adapter in the wall socket (2). 2 1 Charging in the SmartClean system (S9712/33, S9711/33, S9522/26, S9521/26, S9152/26, S9151/26 only) 1Put the small plug in the SmartClean system. 2Put the adapter in the wall socket. 42 ENGLISH 3Press the top cap to be able to place the shaver in the holder (‘click’). 4Hold the shaver upside down above the holder. Using the shaver Shaving Skin adaptation period Your first shaves may not bring you the result you expect and your skin may even become slightly irritated. This is normal. Your skin and beard need time to adapt to any new shaving system. We advise you to shave regularly (at least 3 times a week) with this shaver for a period of 3 weeks to allow your skin to adapt to the new shaver. Tip:To ensure the best result, we advise you to pre-trim your beard if you have not shaved for 3 days or longer. 43 ENGLISH Note:This appliance can only be used cordlessly. 1Press the on/off button once to switch on the shaver. Wet shaving You can also use this shaver on a wet face with shaving foam or shaving gel. To shave with shaving foam or shaving gel, follow the steps below: 1Apply some water to your skin. 2Apply shaving foam or shaving gel to your skin. 3Rinse the shaving unit under the tap to ensure that the shaving unit glides smoothly over your skin. 4Press the on/off button once to switch on the shaver. 44 ENGLISH 5Move the shaving heads over your skin in circular movements. Note: Rinse the shaver under the tap regularly to ensure that it continues to glide smoothly over your skin. 6Dry your face and thoroughly clean the shaver after use (see chapter ‘Cleaning and maintenance’). Note: Make sure you rinse all foam or shaving gel off the shaver. Using the click-on attachments Using the trimmer attachment (S9522/26, S9522/12, S9521/26, S9521/12, S9152/26, S9152/12, S9151/26, S9151/12 only) You can use the trimmer attachment to groom your sideburns and moustache. 1Pull the shaving unit straight off the appliance. Note: Do not twist the shaving unit while you pull it off the appliance. 2Insert the lug of the trimmer attachment into the slot in the top of the shaver. Then press down the trimmer attachment to attach it to the appliance (‘click’). 3Press the on/off button once to switch on the appliance. ,, The display lights up for a few seconds. 45 ENGLISH 4You can now start trimming. 5Press the on/off button once to switch off the appliance. ,, The display lights up for a few seconds to show the remaining battery charge percentage. 6Pull the trimmer attachment straight off the appliance. Note: Do not twist the shaving unit while you pull it off the appliance. 3Insert the lug of the beard styler attachment into the slot in the top of the appliance. Then press down the beard styler attachment to attach it to the appliance (‘click’). Using the beard styler attachment with comb (S9712/33, S9711/33 only) You can use the beard styler attachment with the comb attached to style your beard at one fixed setting, but also at different length settings. The hair length settings on the beard styler attachment 46 ENGLISH correspond to the remaining hair length after cutting and range from 1 to 5mm. 47 ENGLISH 1Slide the comb straight into the guiding grooves on both sides of the beard styler attachment (‘click’). 2 1 2Press the length selector and then push it to the left or right to select the desired hair length setting. 3Press the on/off button once to switch on the appliance. 4You can now start styling your beard. Using the beard styler attachment without comb (S9712/33, S9711/33 only) You can use the beard styler attachment without the comb to contour your beard, moustache, sideburns or neckline. 1Pull the comb off the beard styler attachment. Note: Grab the comb in the centre to pull it off the beard styler attachment. Do not pull at the sides of the comb. 2Press the on/off button once to switch on the appliance. 3You can now start contouring your beard, moustache, sideburns or neckline. Using the cleansing brush attachment (S9712/33, S9711/33 only) Use the rotating cleansing brush attachment with your daily cleansing cream. The cleansing brush 48 ENGLISH attachment removes oil and dirt, contributing to a healthy and oil-free skin. 49 ENGLISH 1Pull the shaving unit straight off the appliance. Do not twist the shaving unit while you pull it off the appliance. 2Insert the lug of the cleansing brush attachment into the slot in the top of the appliance. Then press down the cleansing brush attachment to attach it to the appliance (‘click’). 3Moisten the cleansing brush attachment and your face with warm water and cleansing cream. Tip: Use the cleansing brush attachment before shaving for easier shaving and a more hygienic shaving result. 4Press the on/off button to switch on the appliance. 5Start cleansing the T-zone with the cleansing brush attachment. Note: Make circular motions, but not more than 3 times in one spot. 6Start cleansing the rest of your face. Tip:Treat your face with the cleansing brush attachment for about one minute. Caution: Do not cleanse the sensitive area around your eyes. 50 ENGLISH Cleaning and maintenance Cleaning the shaver in the SmartClean system (S9712/33, S9711/33, S9522/26, S9521/26, S9152/26, S9151/26 only) -- S9522/26, S9521/26, S9152/26, S9151/26: SmartClean system Plus has two phases: the rinsing phase and the drying phase. -- S9712/33, S9711/33: SmartClean system Pro also has two phases: the rinsing phase and the drying phase. This type also has a progress bar to show the progress of the two phases. Preparing the SmartClean system for use Do not tilt the SmartClean to prevent leakage. Note: Hold the SmartClean while you prepare it for use. 1Put the small plug in the back of the SmartClean system. 2Put the adapter in the wall socket. 2 1 3Press the button on the side of the SmartClean system (1) and lift the top part of the SmartClean system (2). 51 ENGLISH 4Pull the seal off the cleaning cartridge. 5Place the cleaning cartridge in the SmartClean system. 6Push the top part of the SmartClean system back down (‘click’). Using the SmartClean system Always make sure to shake excess water off the shaver before you place it in the SmartClean. 1Press the top cap to be able to place the shaver in the holder (‘click’). 52 ENGLISH 2Hold the shaver upside down above the holder. Make sure the front of the shaver points towards the SmartClean system. 3 1 2 3Place the shaver in the holder (1), tilt the shaver backwards (2) and press down the top cap to connect the shaver (‘click’) (3). ,, The battery symbol starts to flash, which indicates that the shaver is charging. 4Press the on/off button on the SmartClean system to start the cleaning program. ,, The rinsing symbol either lights up continuously (SmartClean Pro) or starts flashing (SmartClean Plus). Note for S9712/33, S9711/33:The progress bar shows the progress of the drying phase. ,, When the cleaning program has been completed, the ready symbol lights up continuously. ,, The battery symbol lights up continuously to indicate that the shaver is fully charged. Note: Charging takes approx. 1 hour. 53 ENGLISH Note: If you press the on/off button of the SmartClean system during the cleaning program, the program aborts. In this case, the light of the rinsing or drying symbol goes out. Note: If you remove the adapter from the wall socket during the cleaning program, the program aborts. Note: 30 minutes after the cleaning program and charging have been completed, the SmartClean switches off automatically. 2 1 Replacing the cartridge of the SmartClean System -- Replace the cleaning cartridge when the replacement symbol flashes orange or when you are no longer satisfied with the result. 1Press the button on the side of the SmartClean system (1) and lift the top part of the SmartClean system (2). 2Take the empty cleaning cartridge from the SmartClean system and pour any remaining cleaning fluid out of the cleaning cartridge. You can simply pour the cleaning fluid down the sink. 3Throw away the empty cleaning cartridge. 4Unpack the new cleaning cartridge and pull the seal off the cartridge. 5Place the new cleaning cartridge in the SmartClean system. 6Push the top part of the SmartClean system back down (‘click’). 54 ENGLISH Cleaning the shaver under the tap Clean the shaver after every shave for optimal shaving performance. Be careful with hot water. Always check if the water is not too hot, to prevent your hands from getting burnt. Never dry the shaving unit with a towel or tissue, as this may damage the shaving heads. 1Rinse the shaving unit under a warm tap for some time. 2Pull the shaving head holder off the bottom part of the shaving unit. 3Rinse the shaving head holder under a warm tap. 4Carefully shake off excess water and let the shaving head holder dry. 5Reattach the shaving head holder to the bottom part of the shaving unit (‘click’). Thorough cleaning method Make sure the appliance is switched off. 1Pull the shaving head holder off the bottom part of the shaving unit. 55 ENGLISH 3 1 2 2Place the retaining ring holder on the retaining ring (1), turn it anticlockwise (2) and lift it off the shaving head (3). Remove the retaining ring from the retaining ring holder and repeat this process for the other retaining rings. 3Remove the shaving heads from the shaving head holder. Each shaving head consists of a cutter and guard. Note: Do not clean more than one cutter and guard at a time, since they are all matching sets. If you accidentally put a cutter in the wrong shaving guard, it may take several weeks before optimal shaving performance is restored. 4Clean the cutter and guard under the tap. 5After cleaning, place the cutter back into the guard. 6Put the shaving heads back into the shaving head holder. Note: Make sure the notches on both sides of the shaving heads fit exactly onto the projections in the shaving-head holder. 56 ENGLISH 1 2 3 1 2 7 Place the retaining ring holder on the retaining ring (1), place it on the shaving head (2) and turn it clockwise (3) to reattach the retaining ring. Repeat this process for the other retaining rings. Note: Hold the shaving head holder in your hand when you reinsert the shaving heads and reattach the retaining rings. Do not place the shaving head holder on a surface when you do this, as this may cause damage. 8Reattach the shaving head holder to the bottom part of the shaving unit. Cleaning the click-on attachments Cleaning the trimmer attachment (S9522/26, S9522/12, S9521/26, S9521/12, S9152/26, S9152/12, S9151/26, S9151/12 only) Clean the trimmer attachment every time you have used it. 1Switch on the appliance with the trimmer attachment attached. 2Rinse the trimmer attachment under a hot tap for some time. 3Carefully shake off excess water and let the trimmer attachment dry. 4After cleaning, switch off the appliance. Tip: For optimal trimmer performance, lubricate the trimmer teeth with a drop of sewing machine oil every six months. 57 ENGLISH Cleaning the beard styler attachment (S9712/33, S9711/33 only) Clean the beard styler attachment every time you have used it. 1Pull the comb off the beard styler attachment. 2Rinse the beard styler attachment and the comb separately under a hot tap for some time. 3Carefully shake off excess water and let the beard styler attachment and comb dry. 4Lubricate the teeth with a drop of sewing machine oil every six months. Cleaning the cleansing brush attachment (S9712/33, S9711/33 only) Clean the cleansing brush attachment every time you have used it. 1Switch off the appliance. 2Detach the brush head from the brush base. 3Clean both parts thoroughly with hot water and soap. 4Dry the cleansing brush attachment with a towel. Storage 1Store the shaver in the pouch supplied. Note:We advise you to let the shaver dry before you store it in the pouch. 58 ENGLISH 2S9712/33, S9711/33 only: Put the protection cap on the cleansing brush attachment to protect it from dirt accumulation. Replacement Replacing the shaving heads For maximum shaving performance, we advise you to replace the shaving heads every two years. Replacement reminder The shaving unit symbol lights up to indicate that the shaving heads need to be replaced. Replace damaged shaving heads right away. Only replace the shaving heads with original SH90 Philips shaving heads. 1The shaving unit symbol lights up continuously, the arrows flash white and you hear a beep when you switch off the shaver . Wait until you hear two beeps. 60 ENGLISH Replacing the cleansing brush attachment (S9712/33, S9711/33 only) The brush head should be replaced every 3 months or earlier if the filaments are deformed or damaged. Always remove the battery before you discard or hand in the shaver at an official collection point. Dispose of the battery at an official collection point for batteries. If you have trouble removing the battery, you can also take the shaver to a Philips service centre. The staff of this centre will remove the battery for you and will dispose of it in an environmentally safe way. Removing the rechargeable shaver battery Only remove the rechargeable battery when you discard the shaver. Make sure the battery is completely empty when you remove it. 2 1 Be careful, the battery strips are sharp. 1Insert the screwdriver into the slot between the front and back panel in the bottom of the appliance. Remove the back panel. 2Remove the front panel. 1 3Unscrew the two screws at the top of the inner panel (1) and remove the inner panel (2). 2 62 ENGLISH 4Remove the rechargeable battery with a screwdriver. Unplug the shaver and press the on/off button to switch on the shaver. 63 ENGLISH Problem The shaver does not shave as well as it used to. Possible cause Solution The rechargeable battery is empty. Recharge the battery (see chapter ‘Charging’). The travel lock is activated. Press the on/off button for 3 seconds to deactivate the travel lock. The shaving heads are damaged or worn. Replace the shaving heads (see chapter ‘Replacement’). Hairs or dirt obstruct the shaving heads. Clean the shaving heads(see chapter ‘Cleaning and maintenance’). Clean the shaver thoroughly before you continue shaving (see chapter ‘Cleaning and maintenance’). I replaced the shaving heads, but the replacement reminder is still showing. You have not reset the shaver. Reset the shaver by pressing the on/off button for approx. 7 seconds (see chapter ‘Replacement’). A shaving head symbol has suddenly appeared on the display. This symbol is a replacement reminder. Replace the shaving heads (see chapter ‘Replacement’). An exclamation mark has suddenly appeared on the display while charging. The shaver is overheated. Disconnect the shaver from the mains for approx. 10 minutes. 64 ENGLISH Problem Possible cause Solution An exclamation mark, replacement reminder and the cleaning reminder have suddenly appeared on the display. The shaving heads are soiled or damaged. Replace (see chapter ‘Replacement’) or clean the shaving heads (see chapter ‘Cleaning and maintenance’). Water is leaking from the bottom of the shaver. During cleaning, water may collect between the inner body and the outer shell of the shaver. This is normal and not dangerous because all electronics are enclosed in a sealed power unit inside the shaver. S9712/33, S9711/33, S9522/26, S9521/26, S9152/26, S9151/26 only: The SmartClean system does not work when I press the on/off button. The SmartClean system is not connected to the mains. Put the small plug in SmartClean system and put the adapter in the wall socket. S9712/33, S9711/33, S9522/26, S9521/26, S9152/26, S9151/26 only: The shaver is not entirely clean after I clean it in the SmartClean system. You have not placed the shaver in the SmartClean system properly, so there is no electrical connection between the SmartClean system and the shaver. Press down the top cap (‘click’) to ensure a proper connection between the shaver and the SmartClean system. 65 ENGLISH Problem S9712/33, S9711/33, S9522/26, S9521/26, S9152/26, S9151/26 only: The shaver is not fully charged after I charge it in the SmartClean system. Possible cause Solution The cleaning cartridge needs replacement. Replace the cleaning cartridge (see chapter ‘Cleaning and maintenance’). The cleaning cartridge is empty. The replacement symbol flashes to indicate you have to replace the cleaning cartridge. Place a new cleaning cartridge in the SmartClean system (see chapter ‘Cleaning and maintenance’). You have used another cleaning fluid than the original Philips cleaning cartridge. Only use the Philips cleaning cartridge. The drain of the cleaning cartridge might be blocked. Push the hairs down the drain with a toothpick. You have not placed the shaver in the SmartClean system properly.
