私がカナダへ来て、すでに９ヶ月が経ち、ここでホストファミリーやたくさんの友達と数え切れない
ほどの思い出ができました。
私は、オタワにある Bell High School に通っています。学校では、英語、体育、芸術、数学、スピー
キングとライティングのクラスをとり、たくさんのことを学んでいます。学校では、勉強だけでなく、
たくさんの楽しいイベントもあります。私が１番楽しいと思ったのは、BOTG と呼ばれるもので、１週
間学年ごとに着るものが決まっていて（例えば、月曜日は赤の服、火曜日はゾンビ、水曜日はカナダら
しいものを着るなど）、お昼には毎日違うアクティビティがあり１週間のトータル得点を学年ごとに競
い合うものです。カナダには制服がないので、こんな自由なこともできるのだなと思いました。また、
週末の放課後には、ディナーパーティーやダンスパーテイーが学校であるので、友達ともっと仲良くな
れるチャンスだと思います。
また、サマースクールでは有意義な２ヶ月間を過ごすことができました。初めは宿題が多すぎて大変
でしたが、学校に行きたくないと思った日は一度もありませんでし。なぜなら、友達に会ってたくさん
会話をしたかったからです。私はそこでイタリア、ブラジル、ベトナム、スペイン、中国、韓国などの
いろんな国の子と仲良くなることができました。毎日、英語、数学、ランチタイムの後にアクティビテ
ィタイムがあり、私はその時間が大好きで、毎日楽しみにしていました。そのおかげで、友人とさらに
仲良くなることができました。特に終わりの方になると、アクティビティの一環として、みんなで海や
ウォーターパークに行き、充実した夏になりました。夏休みが終わった今でも連絡を取り合い、週末、
一緒にショッピングに行ったり、お互いの国の料理を作ったりしています。本当にいい友達ができ、た
くさんの英語にも触れる機会があり、サマースクールに参加できて良かったと思います。また、特別に
大阪学芸高校の生徒用に TOEIC クラスもあり、
TOEIC に向けての対策の授業を受け勉強をしました。
私は、今まで一緒に生活をしてきたホストファミリーには伝えきれないほど感謝しています。毎晩、
1 日の出来事を聞いてもらったり、一緒に映画を見たりして家族と楽しい時間を過ごしています。週末
には、家でミニカラオケとダンスパーテイーを夜遅くまで開いたりしてワイワイするときもあります。
家族のみんなはとても明るいのでいつも盛り上がって楽しいです。夏休みには、アメリカに連れて行っ
てもらったり、４連休などは家族みんなで違う州に行ったりと、今では本当に家族の一員になれた気が
します。優しくて、愛情深く、信頼できるホストファミリーが大好きです。
本当に今までお世話になった自分の家族、先生、ホストファミリー、友達に感謝の気持ちを伝えたい
と思います。
It has been 9 months since I came here in Ottawa. I have lots of memories with my host family and
friends. That's an immeasurable amount.
I go to Bell High School every day except Saturday, Sunday, and during summer.
I took ESL
(English Second Language), Art, Gym, Music, Math, and Writing/Speaking skill classes during these
two semesters.
In my school, there are lots of International students from all over the world, so you
will be able to make many foreign friends and also you can learn their different cultures.
I think
it is difficult to learn different cultures from them in Japan, so it is a good experience for us to stay
here.
During summer time, I studied at Ottawa Carleton District Board International School in downtown.
Those 2 months are the most memorable times in my whole life because I was able to make foreign
friends from different countries.

We did various summer activities such as going to the beach,
It was so much fun but of course, I studied hard.
I learned many new
English vocabulary words which helped me to gain more confidence in speaking English.
After
completing my summer classes there, I can communicate well and feel good having an English
conversation with anybody.
Summer school was not the only thing that helped me. My host family helped me as well.
They helped me a lot to improve my English skills every day, even when they are busy or tired.
I went for a road trip with my host family to different states in America, such as New York and
Massachusetts.
I also visited Montreal, Quebec and lots of tourist attractions like Toronto, Niagara
Falls, Canada's Wonderland, and Mont Tremblant.
They are so funny, affectionate, and reliable, so
I love them so much. I couldn't grow up without them. I had a really good time with them in Canada
because of my family, teachers, my host family, and all of my friends.
