Would the participant of previous year’s summer camps have priority to attend this
year’s camp?
答え：一般より早く予約することができる。
Reservation will be open earlier.
アクティビティーについて – About the activities
11. どんなアクティビティをするのか
What kind of activities are you having?
答え：水泳、サッカーなどのアウトドアスポーツを始め、ボーリング、工作な
どのインドアアクティビティ、英語を使ったゲーム、英語教育プログラムなど
を実施。
Outdoor sports activities including swimming, soccer, indoor activities
including bowling, Arts & Crafts, English games, and educational programs.
12. 参加者はグループに分かれて行動するのか、全員一緒か
Are all participants going to act together or individually?
答え：年齢や英語レベルなどに応じてグループ分けを行う
We split into groups based on age etc
13. 一日のスケジュールはどうなっているか
What is the day schedule?
答え：主に午前中はプール使用。昼食後図画工作やスポーツまたは英語ゲーム
Swimming in the morning, after lunch, games, craft and sports.
14. １週以上キャンプに参加する予定だが、内容は同じか？
What is the following week’s program?
答え：子供の人数、年齢層、天候により変更。
It will depend on the weather, number of participants and age.
15. 遠足はいつあるのか、どういうことをするのか（遠足のあるキャンプに参加したい）
Do you have a field trip?
答え：基本的には無し
No, not this year
16. 映画館に行くことがあると聞いたが、どんな映画を見るのか。それは字幕付きか
I heard you are taking kids to the theater, if so, what kind of movie, and are there any
sub-titles?
答え：ビデオ鑑賞はあるが映画館に行くことは無い、字幕は無し。
We will have a DVD viewing without sub-titles, but will not be going to the
theater.
17. 発表会があると聞いたがいつ行われるのか
When do you organize a performance by the kids
答え：毎週金曜日の１４時半から

プールについて – Swimming Pool and Water Activities

答え：浅い箇所 １.2ｍ

20. プールではどんなことをするのか
What kind of activities will you have at the pool?
答え：主に水中ゲーム、ダイビング, 水球
Pool team games, relays, diving, water polo, etc.
21. プールは毎日あるのか
Do you have activities in the pool everyday?
答え：週に３日程度

22. 水泳のグループ分けはどのように決めるのか
How do you split the kids into groups at the pool?
答え：キャンプ初日に水泳のテストを行い、レベル別にグループ分けを行う
It will be based on the swimming test result
23. 水泳テストの内容は？
What are the contents for the swimming test?
答え：１５ｍを泳げるか（自由形、但し背泳ぎを除く）、３０秒間立ち泳ぎがで
きるか、１ｍダイビングボードから飛込んで自力でプールサイドに上がれるか。
Able to swim 25 meters using any stroke except back stroke without wearing
a personal flotation device (PFD), Treading water for 30 sec, Able to jump
from the 1 meter diving board and exit the pool at their own undertaking.
24. 水泳テストに合格しないとプールには入れないのか
Do you have to pass the swimming test in order to get in the pool?
答え：結果によりグループ分けを行う。プールに入れないことはない。
No, we will divide kids into groups depending on the results. Non-swimmer
is still allowed to go to the baby pool until such a time that they pass the
swim test.
25. プールのために持ってくるものはあるか（アームリング等）
Do you have to bring any special items for the swimming pool?
答え：浮き輪、アームリングは個人範囲で OK、また耳栓など必要な場合持参。
In accordance with individual usage, like Floats, earplugs etc.
26. 雨が降ったらどのようなことをするのか
What will happen on rainy days?
答え：体育館でスポーツやゲーム、工作、ボーリングなど。
We will play in the gym, have crafts and bowling.
27. 泳げない子供はどうするのか
What happens to kids who can’t swim?
答え：浅いプールで水遊び（メインプールにはいれない）
They will be using the small pool (can’t go into the main pool)
28. プールが嫌い（泳げない？）なので見学できるか
What happens to a kid who does not like swimming? Can they observe?
答え：できますが、インストラクターの指示で見学場所を指定。
Yes, but lifeguard or swimming instructor will advice where they can
observe from.
29. プールに入れない子供の為に別のアクティビティがあるか
Is there any activity for the child who is not able to swim or go in the water?
答え：基本的には無いが、プールサイドでお絵かきなどできる範囲のことをし
ます。
They will have something that they can do around the swimming pool.
30. ライフガードは何人か、外国人か
How many lifeguards and are they foreigners?
答え：２名、ヘッドは外国人、アシスタントは日本人。
2 lifeguards during the camp. Head lifeguard is a foreigner and assistants
will be Japanese.
英語について – English Games and Learning
31. 英語のテストはあるのか
Is there an English test?
答え：なし
No
32. 英語がまったくわからないが大丈夫か、またその場合、日本語で話してくれるのか（日本の
学校に行っている子供の場合）
My child can’t speak English, is this a problem? Is there Japanese speaking staff?
答え：基本的には英語学習をするため英語で進めていくが日本語ができるスタ
ッフもいるので日本語での対応可能。
Basically, first language will be English, but we do have bilingual staff.
33. 英語はどのくらい使うか（帰国子女やインターナショナルスクール通学の子供の場合、英語
を忘れさせたくないため）
Is the whole program in English? (For Kids from International school and returnees)
答え：なるべく英語を使ってもらうよう工夫をしている。
As before, the first language is English at the camp.
34. 参加者はどのくらい英語が話せる子供がいるのか
How many English speakers will participate?
答え：2０％が英語ネイティブ
20% kids will speak English
35. どの程度英語を教えてもらえるのか
In what degree English will be taught?
答え：キャンププログラムは全て英語で行うほか、基本的な英会話、ゲーム、
歌などを行う。
Camp programs are run in English. Useful English phrases, games and
songs will be taught.
36. レッスン中はずっと英語か
Are lessonｓ going to be in English?
答え：はい、質問 34-36 を参照

37. キャンプが終わった後、本当に英語が話せるようになっているのか（日本の学校に行ってい
る子供の場合）
Do you think the kids will speak English after the camp is over?
答え：子供次第だが簡単な英語は理解できると思われる。
It depends on kid’s ability, but they will be taught many English phrases.
持ち物について – Things to Bring
38. 何を持ってくればよいのか
What should my child bring?
答え：帽子、水筒、水着、バスタオル、運動できる服装、日焼け止め、あとは
個人が必要なものを持ってくる。名前をかならず持ち物に記入してください。
スイムキャップは必要ありません。
Cap (hat), swim suits, bath towel, sporting clothes, sunscreen cream, any
other items that the individual needs. Please make sure to write the child’s
name on his/her belongings. No need to bring swimming cap.
39. 靴は二足持ってくるのか（上履きのこと？）
Do you have to bring two pairs of shoes?
答え：運動靴でくれば OK。
One pair of sneakers is enough
40. どんな服装で参加すればよいのか
What kind of clothing should be worn?
答え：運動できる服装。

41. キャンプＴシャツはいつ配られるのか
When can I get a summer camp T-shirt?
答え：キャンプ初日(月曜日)

42. サマーキャンプ T シャツは絶対着なくてはいけないのか
Do you have to wear a summer camp T-shirt?
答え：はい。
Yes, it is necessary to wear the summer camp T-shirt.
43. １週以上キャンプに申し込んだ場合 T シャツは多めに配られるのか
If I registered more than 1 week, do you provide extra shirts?
答え：いいえ。２週目以降の参加費に T シャツ代は含まれていないため。
No. There’s no extra T-shirts fee included for the following week(s).
44. タオルは何枚必要か、また大きさは
How many towels do you need to bring?
答え：２枚が望ましいが、バスタオル１枚でも OK。
2 towels are preferable, but one big towel can do it.

What is the ratio of Japanese and Foreigners?
答え：日本人 9０％
外国人 1０％

インストラクターについて – Counselors Info
50. どんな人がインストラクターなのか。全て外国人なのか
What kind of persons are the instructors, Are they all foreigners?
答え：日本人と外国人の MIX
Mixture of Japanese and Foreigners.
51. インストラクターは日本語を話せるか
Can instructors speak Japanese?
答え：はい。
Yes, they are bilingual
52. インストラクターは子供何人に対して何人いるのか
What is the ratio of kids per instructor?
答え：１：６の割合です。

集合・解散・保護者の施設利用について – Pick-up/End of Day Routine
53. 親が送り迎えする際の駐車場の利用は可能か
答え：可能。ただしテニスコート脇のゲスト専用駐車場の利用に限る
Yes, please park in the guest parking lot beside the tennis courts
54. 遅刻して参加できるか、その場合どこに行けばいいのか
If my child or children can not attend the camp at the starting time are they allowed to
come later in the day and if so where do they report to?
答え：参加可能だが事前通達が必要。割引や返金はなし。
They can participate as long as the summer camp coordinator is notified in
advance to ensure we know when the child is arriving and contact summer
camp co-ordinator when they arrive. No discounts or refunds will be given
on the participation fee.
55. 早退できるか
Can the child pull out of the camp mid-week?
答え：できる。但しそれに対する割引や返金はなし。
Yes, no problem, but no discount or refund will be given on the participation
fee.
56. 集合・解散場所はどこか
Where is the meeting place and pick up place for children who are participating in the
camp?
答え：体育館
At the main gym
57. 集合・解散時間のどのくらい前に来ればよいのか
What time should I drop off my child or children and what time should I pick them up?
答え：時間通り。尚、３時にお迎えがないお子様に関しては自己責任で帰宅。
As the camp starts at 9.00am, please drop off your child by 8.55am and be
ready to pick your child up at 3.00pm
Children can go home on their own responsibility, with written permission of
the parent(s)/guardian. In this case, the responsibility is placed on the child
to make their way home.
58. 送り迎えなしでも参加できるか。友達同士で行くことは可能か。
Is it possible for my kid(s) to go to camp by themselves or with friends?
答え：はい。ただし自己責任
Yes, but their safe travel is not the responsibility of YC&AC.
59. キャンプ中保護者が見学することはできるか
Can a parent/guardian stay and observe the camp?
答え：できません。なぜなら子供が甘え集中できなくなるので。
No, as it has been shown in the past, and through studies, that children do
not participate in a focused manner if there are observers around.
60. YC&AC 内で保護者が飲食できるか
Can observers dine at the YC&AC F&B facilities?
答え：できます。クーポンでのお取り扱いになります。

61. ランチはどんなものが出るのか
What is the lunch menu during the camp?
答え：多国籍料理。ランチメニューを参考。
Variety of International food. Please see sample lunch menu.
62. ランチメニューでアレルギー持ちの場合、特別メニューはあるのか
If the kid is allergic to a particular food, can we ask for a special menu?
答え：なし。各自お弁当のご用意をお願いします。
No. Please bring your own lunch.
63. 去年は何人くらい参加したのか
How many kids were there last year?
答え：1 キャンプ平均 60 名
Average 60 kids per group
64. インストラクターと直接話したいがどうしたらよいか（特にキャンプ後に多い）
If I want to talk to the instructors, what can I do?
答え：その日のキャンプ終了後質問タイムを設けます。
We will set a Q&A time after the daily camp is over. If you have any
questions, please ask then.
65. YC&AC とはどういう組織か
What is YC&AC?
答え：外国人で運営されている日本でもっとも歴史のある会員制クラブ。公用
語は英語です。
The oldest members’ sports and recreation club in Japan. The main
language at the club is English.
66. YC&AC のメンバーになるにはどうしたらよいのか
What shall I do if I want to become a member of YC&AC?
答え：営業にお問い合わせ下さい。
Please ask for Membership/Marketing Manager at the front desk.
67. 来年もキャンプはあるのか
Will there be a Summer camp next year?
答え：ある
Yes, there is one every year
68. 着替えるところはあるのか
Is there a changing room?
答え：ある

69. 現時点で空きはどのくらいあるのか
How many spaces are available at any one time for a summer camp group?
答え：ウェブサイトで予約状況を確認してください。
The max number is 60 and the earlier you sign up the greater the chance of
gaining entry to the camp. Please check the website for availability.
70. 日焼け止めが必要か、ＹＣＡＣで用意してくれるのか
Do you need sun screen? Would YC&AC provide it?
答え：自分で用意すること
