Music
The Music app plays music files. Use Music to browse your music library, play songs, and create playlists. You can also set songs as ringtones for incoming calls, or as alarm tones.
Note: For information about loading music onto your phone, see Transfer Files Between Your Phone and a Computer.
When you close the Music screen, playback will continue in the background, so you can listen to music while you use other features of your phone. When music is playing in the background, you can access playback controls from the Notification Panel.
Play Music
1. From a Home screen, tap Apps > Music . The music app opens to the Playlists category.
o The default categories are Playlists, Tracks, Albums, Artists, Genres, Folders, and Composers. Tap the drop-down list at the upper left corner and tap a category to display it.
2. Scroll through the list and tap a song to begin. While playing music, use these controls:

l Tap to pause playback. To start playback again, tap .
l Tap to move to the previous song. Tap to move to the next song.
l Tap the repeat button to control playback. Choose repeat all songs. Choose to play all songs once. Choose to to repeat the current song.
l Tap the shuffle button to control the order songs are played. Choose order they appear in the list. Choose to play songs in the to play songs in random order.
l Tap to mark a song as a favorite. Whenever a song is a favorite, the star is bright. Favorite songs are included in the Favorites playlist.
l Tap to set the volume. You can also set volume by pressing the Volume key on the side of the phone.
Use Playlists
Create playlists to group songs, so you can listen to them together.
1. From a Home screen, tap Useful Apps and Features
Apps > Music.

2. Tap the drop-down list in the upper left corner, tap Playlists, and then use these options:
l Tap an existing playlist to play its songs. l Tap Create playlist to create a new playlist.
o Enter a name for the playlist and tap CREATE.
o Tap songs from the Tracks list to add them to the playlist. When you're done adding songs, tap DONE.
The new playlist is saved under My playlists.
Tip: To edit a playlist, tap it from the list and then tap ADD to add more songs, or tap MORE to access the Edit, Rename, and Settings options for the playlist.
Music Options and Settings
1. From a Home screen, tap Apps > Music . 2. Tap MORE for options. Available options depend on the category:
l Edit: Edit the song or playlist.
l Add to playlist/Create playlist: Depending on the tab, you can add songs to a playlist, or create a new playlist.
l Add to Favorites: Mark this song or playlist as a Favorite.
l Delete: Delete the song or playlist.
l Play on other device: Stream the song to nearby devices.
