Metro is designing a new Emergency Security
Operations Center (ESOC) at 410 Center St in
the City of Los Angeles Arts District (southeast
corner of Ducommun St and Center St) on
property already owned by Metro. This will be
a secured facility for authorized personnel only.
Once constructed, the facility will serve as the Emergency
Operations Center (EOC) and central location for Metro
security operations, radio dispatch, and emergency
coordination. Metro is also planning to integrate Rail
and Bus Operations Centers into the facility to have
a consolidated operations center for more effective
management of Metro’s expanding rail and bus networks.
The new ESOC facility will be approximately four stories
tall and approximately 80,000 square feet in size with
up to 100 employee parking spaces. It is anticipated to
be a Leadership in Environmental and Energy Design
(LEED)-Silver building (at a minimum), incorporating
sustainable design features where appropriate to minimize
non-renewable energy consumption, reduce waste, and
conserve water. Externally, the facility will be designed to
complement the character and identity of the Arts District,
as well as anticipate future potential developments in the
surrounding neighborhood. Outreach will be conducted
during the design process to obtain input from the
community. Additionally, a site-specific artwork will be
integrated into the project.

Metro está diseñando un nuevo Centro de
Operaciones de Seguridad de Emergencia
(Emergency Security Operations Center, ESOC)
en el número 410 de la calle Center, en el
Distrito de Artes de la ciudad de Los Ángeles
(en la esquina sureste de las calles Ducommun
y Center), en una propiedad que ya le pertenece
a Metro. Estas serán instalaciones seguras con
acceso solamente al personal autorizado.
Una vez construidas, las instalaciones servirán como el Centro
de Operaciones de Emergencia (Emergency Operations
Center, EOC) y como ubicación central para las operaciones
