るホップの魔術師ブリュワリー。創
業者のマイク・ヒンクリーと妻のリ
サは元々ビアパブのオーナーだっ
た。そんなときふと偶然なことでク
ラフトブリュワリーを閉鎖する会
社を知り、それを2004年に買い取
り、その新しいブリュワリーのブリ
ューマスターとしてチャック・シル
バが加わった。ブリュワリーではた
くさんのスタイルを造っており、ど
れもが独創的で個性的。すべてが何
らかの形でグリーンフラ ッシュ流
を敷いたまさにアイデンティティ
を感じる究極系ビールばかり。サン
ディエゴでは多くのブリュワリー
でホップの使用量が通常の量販ビ
ール数倍から数十倍と言われるが、
なかでもグリーンフラ ッシュのホ
ップの使用量が群を抜いている。そ

ある現在の場所、ミラ・メサに大幅
拡大移転させた。ヴィスタにあった
ブリュワリー全体の大きさが、現在
のブリュワリーの倉庫部分くらい
しかないという驚きの拡大。例える

て６回、毎回異なったホップを効か
せた限定醸造ビールをリリースす
るプロジェクトです。入手の困難な
希少価値の高いビールで、今年の第
一弾「ブラックIPA」は日本に入荷
していません。今年第２弾のライモ
ルトとコロンバス、モザイクホップ
を使い醸造した「インペリアル・レ
ッドライIPA」が今回限定入荷しま
した。非常に貴重なので、この機会

2011??) Green Flash was the
number one purchaser of Simcoe
Hops not just in the USA but in the
entire world! In fact Green Flash
alone consumes 7% of the world
Simcoe hop production...amazing!!
This is why not only us in Japan
but Europe, Australia and other
parts of the world are keeping their
eyes on Green Flash. In July of
2011, Green Flash expanded
by moving their brewery and
offices to downtown Mira Mesa
from Vista. It is said that the entire
Vista operation could fit in the new
warehouse! We'll be keeping a
sharp eye on future developments
at Green Flash.

Trippel, Grand Cru and Saison
Diego. The Snifter glass is most
commonly associated with digestif
beverages such as bourbon and
brandy. However, it can be a great
craft beer glass for certain types of
ale. The Large, round bottom is
designed to increase the heat
transfer from your hand , thus
warming the beer. The top tapers
inward trapping aromas. Very
strong beer – over 8precent alcohol
– are best suited for this type of
glassware.

get an allocation of the difficult to
acquire first phase beer Black IPA.
The second phase beer is Imperial
Red Rye IPA with Rye
Malt,Mossaic and Columbus Hops.
It will be available in limited
