Requirements
System Requirements: windows 7 or higher.
CPU: Supports SSE2 instruction set.
Graphic Card: Supports DX9.
System Installation
Note: Before installing Balance Surf software, you must first complete the Balance
Gear software installation.
Step 1: Installed the Balance Surf software (File Name: Balance Surf Setup.exe) by
inserting the flash drive provide in the package.

Step 2: Click on Next button.
Step 3: Select “I accept the agreement” and click on Next button.

Step 4: Click on Next button.
Step 5: Select the folder for installation, it is suggested to install in the default folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\BalanceSurf.

Step 6: While it is feasible to rename the folder name as preferred, it is suggested to
use the default name “BalanceSurf”.
Step 7: It is suggested to select this option to create a desktop icon, then click on Next
button.

Step 8: Click on Install button to install the software.
Step 9: Game installation may take several minutes.

Access the Game
Access the Game
Click on the BalanceSurf
icon on the desktop to access the game.
The configurable game options include (from top to bottom):
1. Screen Resolution: It can be adjusted as preferred and is suggested to select those
with aspect ratio of 4:3, 1024 x 768 or 1280 x 960
2. Graphics Quality: With highest quality setting, the game performance may be
reduced. If computer memory meets minimum requirement lower graphic setting is
recommended.
3. Select Monitor: Default value is suggested.
4. Click on Play! button to enter the game.
5. Click on Quit button to quit the game.

After the initial setup you’ll be directed to the Balance Surf Screen; from there you’re
free to explore the Balance Surf!

Main Menu
1
There are five selectable buttons in the main menu. The default language
is English and the buttons from top to bottom are:
1. START: Click on this button to start a new game (P.15).
LANGUAGE: Click on this button to switch language in the sequence of ENGLISH
→ JAPANESE → CHINESE → ENGLISH.
LEVEL: Click on this button to set the Difficulty selection screen,
refer to DIFFICULTY SELECTION (P.10).
SHUT DOWN: Click on this button to access the option of shutting down the
computer automatically, refer to SHUT DOWN MESSAGE (P.11).
QUIT: Quit the game and return to the desktop.

Difficulty Selection
To access a higher difficulty level, click on

Players can adjust the difficulty as preferred:

(Note 1) In this feature, players are allowed to modify game parameters as preferred,
but the game system may be impacted. Click on the DEFAULT button to restore the
default setting.
(Note 2) With customized difficulty, no stars will be displayed.
(Note) The neutral position for BalanceGear is reseted when a new game is started
by clicking on the

Shut Down Message
Shut down message is displayed when the Shut Down button is clicked,
for the player to verify the action of shutting down.
Clicking on
for the first time causes the button to flicker,
clicking for the second time triggers the shut down procedure. The
computer will be shut down automatically.
Click on
to cancel shut down and return to the game menu.

Costomized Diffculty
Parameter setting includes DEFAULT and SAVE & RETURN TO
MENU buttons.
To increase parameter, click on

to decrease the
parameter.
1. DEFAULT: Restore default value.
2. SAVE & RETURN TO MENU: Record the modified parameter and return to the
main menu.
(Note) These settings apply to the game parameters and do not affect the difficulty
setting. When game system is affected due to an incorrect setting that is unable to be
manually restored, use the DEFAULT button to restore the default value.
Glossary:
Total Time: The maximum time of each game session - the session ends when the
countdown is over.
Total Distance: The overall distance from the starting point to the end point - the end
point is farther when the distance is set longer.
Coin Distance: The distance of each coin generated in the game. More coins are

generated when this value is at lower setting. For example, in a total distance of 100,
setting this value at 10 will generate a total of 10 coins.
Coin Weight: Score acquired for each coin collected.
Distance Weight: Score acquired for each unit of distance proceeded in the game.
Stream Velocity: The speed of water flow - you proceed faster when this value is
increased.
HP: Maximum Life Force of your game character - your game is over when HP is
reduced to 0.
Perfect: The lowest score required to acquire a “Perfect” result.
Great: The lowest score required to acquire a “Great” result.
OK: The lowest score required to acquire an “OK” result.
Acceleration Sensitivity: Sets the sensitivity of ALDA BalanceGear - A greater
sensitivity of side movement is adapted when this value is set higher.
Game Ready Screen
Strap the BalanceGear to a secure position. The neutral position of BalanceGear will
take its orientation at game “Start” as the reference. A five-second countdown starts as
players enter the game, the game starts when the countdown ends.

Tilt your body forward/backward or left/right to collect coins and evade the stones.
Your HP is reduced when you bump into a stone. The game is over when your HP is
reduced to 0.
Forward: Accelerate your speed in three steps - the more you tilt forward, the more
speed you gain.
Left: Tilt left.
Right: Tilt right.
Backward: Slow down your speed but the stream still bring you forward.
1. Click on
to close the game and return to the main menu.
2. Displays character portrait, current HP, remaining time, coin(s) obtained/in
possession, current difficulty.

Notes
Q: I cannot access the game
A: Access Windows Control Panel/Device Manager to examine the connection ports
(COM & LPT) and check whether the COM number sits between COM1 and COM9.
(See Figure 1)
If the COM number exceeds COM10, right click on the connection port and access
Properties/Connection Port Setting/Advanced to modify the COM number to 1~9.
(see Figure 2)

ゲームを開く
デスクトップの[BalanceSurf]ショートカットをクリックすると、ゲームが開きま
す。
ゲームのオプションを設定できます。上から順に次の順番に並んでいます。
1.
ゲームの解像度：ユーザの要求に基づき調整できます。4:3 の比率、例えば
1024×768 または 1280×960 に設定されることをお勧めします。
2.
画質設定：設定を最高にするとゲームのパフォーマンスは遅くなり、設定を

低くすると要求されるパフォーマンスは低くなります。
3.
デュアルモニタオプション：初期値を使用されることをお勧めします。
4.
[Play!]をクリックするとゲーム画面が開きます。
5.
[Quit]をクリックするとゲームが終了します。
BalanceSurf の体験が正式にスタートしましょう!!

ゲームのメインメニュー
1
メインメニューには 5 つの選択可能なボタンがあります。言語はデフォルトでは
英語に設定されており、上から順に次の順番に並んでいます。
1.
ゲ-ム開始：クリックすると、ゲーム画面 (P.18)が開きます。
言語選択：クリックすると、英語→日本語→中国語→英語の順に切り替わります。
難易度：クリックすると、難易度の調整画面が表示されます。難易度設定の調整
(P.10) をご覧ください。
強制終了：クリックすると、シャットダウンのオプションが表示されます。強制

終了メッセージ(P.13) をご覧ください。
ゲーム停止：ゲームを終了し、デスクトップ画面に戻ります。
難易度設定の調整

プレイヤーは難易度を自分の好きな高さに設定することができます。
をクリックすると、カスタム難易度のオプションが表示されます。カス
タム難易度(P.14) をご覧ください。
(注 1) この機能は、自分の好きな設定に調整するもので、プレイヤーはゲームの
パラメータを任意で変更することができますが、ゲームの均衡性に影響を及ぼす
可能性があります。元に戻せなくなった場合は、設定画面の初期値をクリックす
ると出荷時の設定に戻ります。
(注 2) カスタム難易度の使用時には、区別のため、難易度の星が空欄になります。

シャットダウンメッセージ
シャットダウンボタンをクリックすると、シャットダウンメッセージが表示され
ます。メッセージウィンドウはシャットダウンするかどうかを再度確認します。
をクリックすると、1 回目はボタンが点滅し、再度クリックすると、
シャットダウンを開始し、パソコンは自動でシャットダウンされます。
をクリックすると、シャットダウンをキャンセルして メインメニュ
ーに戻ります。

カスタム難易度
パラメータ設定には、[初期値]と[保存して戻る]という２つのボタンが含まれます。
をクリックするとパラメータが増加し、

初期値：出荷時の設定に戻ります。
2.
保存して戻る：調整したパラメータを保存し、メインメニューに戻ります。
(注) ゲームのパラメータはこの設定を基準とし、難易度の設定と重複することは

ありません。設定を間違えるとゲームの均衡性に影響を及ぼします。元に戻せな
くなった場合は、初期値に戻してください。
用語集：
縂時間：ゲームをプレイした最長時間。ゲーム時間が 0 になると、ゲームは終了
します。
縂距離：ゲームのスタート地点からゴール地点までの距離。距離が長いほどゴー
ル地点が遠くなります。
コインの間隔：ゲームでは単位ごとにコインが 1 枚出現します。間隔が短いほど
コインが多くなります。例えば、総距離 100、間隔比率 10 ではコインは 10 枚と
なります。
コイン值：コインを 1 枚獲得するごとに獲得するスコア数。
距離值：1 ゲーム距離ごとに獲得するスコア数。
波のスピード：水流の前進するスピード。スピードが速いほど前進するスピード
が速くなります。
生命力ゲ-ジ：キャラクターの最大 HP。HP が 0 になるとゲームは終了します。
すばらしい：「すばらしい」評価を達成するのに必要な最低スコア数。
上手だ：「上手だ 」評価を達成するのに必要な最低スコア数。
人並みだ：「人並みだ 」評価を達成するのに必要な最低スコア数。

G-せンサ-：ALDA Balance Gear の感度。数が大きいほど、左右の移動が速くな
ります。
ゲームスタート準備画面
BalanceGear を固定すると、ゲームの傾斜角度の基準となります。ゲーム画面が
表示されると、5 秒間のカウントダウンをし、5 秒間のカウントダウン後にゲーム
がスタートします。

身体を前後左右に傾けてキャラクターがコインをゲットできるようコントロール
すると同時に、ルート上に出現する岩を避けます。岩にぶつかると HP が減り、
HP が 0 になるとゲームは終了します。
前に傾ける：前進が加速します。加速には 3 段階あり、キャラクターが前に傾く
ほどスピードが速くなります。
左に傾ける：左に移動します。
右に傾ける：右に移動します。
後ろに傾ける：減速します。但し、キャラクターは水流によりゆっくりと前進し

をクリックすると、ゲームを終了してメインメニューに戻ります。

キャラクター画像、現在の HP、残り時間、獲得コイン数/コイン合計、現在

スコアの計算： (進んだ距離×距離加重＋獲得コイン数×コイン加重) ×(残り

評価：カスタム難易度(P.12)をご覧ください。

をクリックすると直接ゲームが開始し、10 秒間待つ必要は
ありません。

その他注意事項
Q： ゲームを開くことができません。
A： [コントロールパネル] →[デバイスマネージャー] からポート(COM と LPT)
の COM の数が(COM1)から(COM9) までの間であるかどうかを確認します。(図 1
参照)
COM の数が COM10 以上の場合は、ポートを右クリックし、[プロパティ]→[ポー
トの設定] →[拡張]をクリックし、ポートの番号を 1～9 の間に変更します。 (図
2 参照)

進入遊戲
找到桌面上的 BalanceSurf 捷徑。點選進入遊戲。
可以設定遊戲選項。由上而下依序是：
1. 遊戲解析度：可依使用者需求調整。建議挑選 4:3 的比例。如：1024 x 768 或
1280 x 960
2. 遊戲品質：設定品質最高，則遊戲效能較慢。遊戲品質較低，則需求的效能
可以較低。
3. 雙螢幕選項：建議使用預設值。
4. 按下 Play! 鍵即可進入遊戲。
5. 按下 Quit 鍵即可離開遊戲。

遊戲主選單
1
主選單包含五個可以選擇的按鍵。一開始預設語言為英文，由上往下
五個按鈕依序為：
1. 開始遊戲(START)：可以直接進入遊戲畫面(P.14)。
語言設定(LANGUAGE)：點擊後會切換語言，依序為：英文→日文→中文→英文
循環。
遊戲難易度(LEVEL)：按下後，會彈出難度調整介面，請參閱調整難易度設定
(P.10)。
關機(SHUT DOWN)：點擊後會彈出關機選項，請參閱關機訊息(P.11)。
離開遊戲(QUIT)：離開遊戲回到電腦桌面。

調整難易度設定
用戶可以點選

(註) 星星越多代表難度越高。
難易度設定可供使用者自行設定喜好：

可進入自訂難度選項，請參閱自訂難易度(P.12)。
(註一) 此功能可以調整自己的喜好設定，用戶可以隨意更改遊戲參數。但是可能
會影響遊戲的平衡性。如調整不回來，可以按下設定介面的預設值。回歸原廠設
定。
(註二) 當使用者使用自訂難度時，難易度星號顯示為空白，藉以區別。
(注意) BalanceGear 的參考基準角度為從按下
基準。

關機訊息
當點擊了關機按鈕後，將進入關機訊息。訊息框會再次詢問是否進行
關機。
第一次按下
時，按鈕會出現閃爍，再按第二次則會進
入關機程序。電腦將自動關機。

則取消關機並返回遊戲主選單。

自訂難易度
參數設定包含還原預設值及儲存並離開兩個按鍵。
用戶可以點選
增加參數。反之點選
則減少參數。
1. 還原預設值：回復原廠設定。
2. 儲存並離開：紀錄調整的參數，並返回主選單。
(註) 遊戲的參數以此設定為準，並不會與難易度設定相互累加。如果設定錯誤並
影響到遊戲平衡性，且調整不回來，請回復預設值。
名詞解釋：
總時間：遊戲進行的最大時間，遊戲時間遞減為 0 時，遊戲結束。
總距離：遊戲中起點到終點的距離，距離越長、終點越遠。
金幣間隔比例：遊戲中每幾個單位距離就產生 1 個金幣。間隔越短、金幣越多。
如：總距離 100、間隔比例 10，金幣數 10 個。
金幣權重：每獲得一枚金幣，獲得的分數。
距離權重：每前進 1 遊戲距離，所獲得的分數。
水流速度：水流前進的速度。速度越大、前進速度越快。
生命值：遊戲角色的最大生命值。生命值為 0 時，遊戲結束。
神乎其技：達成「神乎其技」評價需要獲得的最低分數。

棒呆了：達成「棒呆了」評價需要獲得的最低分數。
普普通通：達成「普普通通」評價需要獲得的最低分數。
加速規靈敏度：ALDA BalanceGear 的靈敏度。數字越大、左右移動越靈敏。
遊戲預備畫面
請將 BalanceGear 綁至固定位置，遊戲的傾斜角度將以此為基準。進入遊戲後。
將進行 5 秒倒數，5 秒倒數後遊戲開始。

前後左右傾斜身體控制角色撿拾金幣，並閃避沿路的礁石。撞到礁石生命值會減
少，生命值為 0 時，遊戲結束。
前傾：加速前進。共有三段的加速，前傾角色越大、速度越快。
左傾：向左移動。
右傾：向右移動。
後傾：減速，但是水流依然會緩慢帶動角色前進。

2. 顯示角色圖像、當前生命值、剩餘時間、獲得金幣數/金幣總數、當前遊戲
難度。

2. 休息時間：代表遊戲結束後的等待時間、休息時間歸零後，遊戲自動開始。
不須手動點選。
3. 顯示分數及評價。
分數計算：(行進的距離 x 距離權重 + 獲得金幣數 x 金幣權重) x (剩餘生命 + 1) /
生命最大值 = 總分數。
評價：請參閱自訂難易度(P.12)。

其他注意事項
Q：關於無法進入遊戲
A：請至 控制台/裝置管理員 檢查連接埠(COM 和 LPT) 的 COM 數是否在 (COM1)
到(COM9)之間。(如圖一)
如果 COM 數超過 (COM10)，請至連接埠按下右鍵。選擇：內容/連接埠設定/進
階。將連接埠號碼改為：1~9 之間。(如圖二)
