トナカイ牧畜の比較研究に係わるいくつかの問題

西シベリアのヤマル･ネネツ自治管区は、現在、家畜トナカイ頭数の割合においてユーラシア・トナカ
イ牧畜のセンターと化している。報告者は、周年遊牧型個 人経営によるトナカイ牧畜を主たる生業と
してきたネネツの特徴的な現状を概説した。さらに、トナカイ牧畜民の牧畜管理や地域経済における地
位に係わる問題 点を指摘し、他地域との比較研究の可能性について提起した。
Some problems concerning the comparative study of the reindeer breeding and indigenous
societies in northern Eurasia:
from the contemporary research of the Siberian Nenets reindeer breeders.

Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District of West Siberia is now the Eurasian reindeer-herding center in
the number of the domesticated reindeer. The reporter surveyed the situation of the contemporary
reindeer herding of the Siberian Nenets, who have specialized into the reindeer herding of the
individual management as subsistence economy with nomadic lifestyle. He further pointed out
several problems concerning their herding management and position in local economy and offered
research possibilities for the comparative study with other reindeer herding regions.
