ファビオ･ルイジ Fabio Luisi (Conductor) ファビオ・ルイジは、２０１０年９月よりメトロポリタン・オペラの首席客演指揮者を務め、２０ １１年９月に首席指揮者に任命された。また、２００５年からはウィーン交響楽団の首席指揮者を、 ２０１０年からは日本の札幌で行われるパシフィック・ミュージック・フェスティバルの芸術監督 を務めている。さらに、２０１２／２０１３シーズンには、チューリッヒ歌劇場の音楽総監督に就 任することが決まっている。これまでに、ドレスデン国立歌劇場（ゼンパー・オーパー）および同 歌劇場管弦楽団（シュターツカペレ・ドレスデン）の音楽総監督（２００７～２０１０）、ライプツ ィヒ放送交響楽団の芸術監督（１９９９～２００７）、スイス・ロマンド管弦楽団の音楽監督（１９ ９７～２００２） 、ウィーン・トーンキュンストラー管弦楽団の首席指揮者（１９９５～２０００）、 グラーツ交響楽団の芸術監督（１９９０～１９９６）を歴任している。 ルイジは世界的名門オーケストラやオペラ・カンパニーへの客演にも積極的に取り組んでいる。 これまでに、バイエルン放送交響楽団、ウィーン・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団、シカゴ交響楽団、 ボストン交響楽団、フィラデルフィア管弦楽団、サンフランシスコ交響楽団、ロイヤル・コンセル トヘボウ管弦楽団、パリ管弦楽団、フィルハーモニア管弦楽団、ＮＨＫ交響楽団（東京）、ミュンヘ ン・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団、ローマ聖チェチーリア音楽院管弦楽団、マーラー室内管弦楽団な どに客演している。これに加えて、ウィーン国立歌劇場、バイエルン国立歌劇場、ベルリン・ドイ ツ・オペラ、ベルリン国立歌劇場などへは頻繁に客演している。２００２年には、リヒャルト・シ ュトラウスの《ダナエの愛》でザルツブルク音楽祭にデビューを飾り、翌年にもリヒャルト・シュ トラウスの《エジプトのヘレナ》で再び同音楽祭に出演した。 ２０１１／２０１２シーズンには、マスネの《マノン》でミラノ・スカラ座にデビューを飾った。 メトロポリタン・オペラでは、２０１１年の秋に、新演出の《ドン・ジョヴァンニ》と新演出の《ジ ークフリート》を、２０１２年の春に、マスネの《マノン》とヴェルディの《椿姫》を指揮した。 さらに、２０１１年１０月にはカーネギー・ホールにおけるコンサートで、メトロポリタン歌劇場 管弦楽団を指揮した。また、クリーヴランド管弦楽団およびミラノ・スカラ座フィルハーモニー管 弦楽団とは初共演を果たした。この他、同シーズン中の客演としては、ロイヤル・コンセルトヘボ ウ管弦楽団、ｈｒ交響楽団（フランクフルト放送交響楽団）、シュトゥットガルト・フィルハーモニ ー管弦楽団、ローマ聖チェチーリア音楽院管弦楽団、フィレンツェ五月音楽祭管弦楽団、オスロ・ フィルハーモニー管弦楽団、ジェノヴァ歌劇場管弦楽団などが挙げられる。ウィーン交響楽団とは、 ウィーンにおける定期公演に加えて、北アメリカへのツアーやヨーロッパ各地での公演も行った。 ２０１２年夏には、パシフィック・ミュージック・フェスティバルに再び出演した。 昨シーズンには、メトロポリタン・オペラで《ラインの黄金》、《ナクソス島のアリアドネ》およ び《リゴレット》を指揮したのをはじめ、同オペラ・カンパニーを率いて日本ツアーを行い、 《ドン・ 株式会社ジャパン・アーツ http://www.japanarts.co.jp 〒150-8905 東京都渋谷区渋谷 2-1-6 TEL: 03-3499-8100 / FAX: 03-3499-8102 JAPAN ARTS CORPORATION http://www.japanarts.co.jp 2-1-6, Shibuya Shibuya-ku, Tokyo JAPAN 150-8905 TEL: 81-3-3499-8091 FAX: 81-3-3499-8092 カルロ》と《ラ・ボエーム》を指揮した。また、 《アイーダ》でロンドンのロイヤル・オペラハウス に、 《ファルスタッフ》でバルセロナのリセウ大劇場に、それぞれデビューを果たした。ウィーン交 響楽団とは、ウィーンにおける定期公演の他、ヨーロッパ各地でも公演を行った。客演としては、 フィラデルフィア管弦楽団、マーラー室内管弦楽団、コンセルトヘボウ管弦楽団などを指揮した他、 故郷の町であるジェノヴァのカルロ・フェニーチェ劇場でも《道化師》を指揮した。２０１１年夏 には、日本の札幌で行われたパシフィック・ミュージック・フェスティバルに前年に続き出演した。 ルイジは２０００年に、ニューヨーク・フィルハーモニック、および、シカゴ・リリック・オペ ラにおける新演出の《リゴレット》でアメリカ・デビューを果たした。２００５年には、 《ドン・カ ルロ》でメトロポリタン・オペラにデビューし、それ以降、同オペラでは《エジプトのヘレナ》 《シ モン・ボッカネグラ》 《トゥーランドット》《フィガロの結婚》《トスカ》《ルル》《エレクトラ》《ヘ ンゼルとグレーテル》 《ラ・ボエーム》などの作品を次々と指揮している。 録音で特筆すべきものとしては、ヴェルディの演奏される機会が少ないオペラ（《エルサレム》 《ア ルツィラ》 《アロルド》 ）や、サリエリの《宿屋の女主人》、ベッリーニの《清教徒》の他、オネゲル、 レスピーギ、リストなどのオーケストラ曲が挙げられる。また、これまであまり注目されることが 無かったオーストリアの作曲家、フランツ・シュミットの全ての交響曲と、オラトリオ《７つの封 印の書》の録音も行っている。ソニー・クラシカルではリヒャルト・シュトラウスの作品をいくつ か録音している。ドレスデン国立歌劇場管弦楽団との共演によるアントン・ブルックナーの交響曲 第９番は、エコー・クラシック賞を受賞するなど特に高い評価を得た名盤である。 １９５９年、ジェノヴァ（イタリア）に生まれ、４歳からピアノの勉強を開始した。１９７８年、 ジェノヴァのニコロ・パガニーニ音楽院でピアノのディプロマを取得し、その後、グラーツ音楽院 でミラン・ホルヴァートに指揮法を師事した。 ＊プロフィールの一部を使用する場合、日数が経過している場合は、ジャパン・アーツの校正チェックを お受け頂きますようお願い申し上げます。 株式会社ジャパン・アーツ http://www.japanarts.co.jp 〒150-8905 東京都渋谷区渋谷 2-1-6 TEL: 03-3499-8100 / FAX: 03-3499-8102 JAPAN ARTS CORPORATION http://www.japanarts.co.jp 2-1-6, Shibuya Shibuya-ku, Tokyo JAPAN 150-8905 TEL: 81-3-3499-8091 FAX: 81-3-3499-8092 Fabio LUISI (Conductor) Fabio Luisi was named Principal Conductor of the Metropolitan Opera in September 2011, having previously been Principal Guest Conductor with the company since September 2010. He is Chief Conductor of the Vienna Symphony since 2005. He is Music Director of the Pacific Music Festival in Sapporo, Japan since 2010. Mr. Luisi begins his position as Music Director of the Zurich Opera in the 2012-13 season. He was Generalmusikdirektor of the Dresden Staatskapelle and Saechsische Staatsoper (2007-2010), Artistic Director of the MDR in Leipzig (1999-2007), Music Director of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande (1997-2002), Chief Conductor of the Tonkuenstlerorchester in Vienna (1995-2000) and Artistic Director of the Graz Symphony (1990-1996). Mr. Luisi maintains an active schedule of guest engagements with international orchestras and opera companies. He has appeared with, among others, the Bayerischer Rundfunk, Vienna Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Orchestre de Paris, the Philharmonia, NHK Symphony in Tokyo, Munich Philharmonic, Santa Cecilia Orchestra in Rome, and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra. Additionally, he is a frequent guest at the Vienna Staatsoper, Bayerische Staatsoper, Deutsche Oper, and Staatsoper in Berlin. He made his debut at the Salzburg Festival with Richard Strauss' Die Liebe der Danae in 2002 and returned the following season for Strauss' Die Ägyptische Helena. During the 2011-12 season, he makes his debut with the Teatro alla Scala for Massenet’s Manon. At the Metropolitan Opera he conducts new productions of Don Giovanni, Siegfried in the fall of 2011 and Massenet’s Manon as well as La Traviata in the spring of 2012. In October 2011 he leads the Metropolitan Orchestra in a concert at Carnegie Hall. He makes debuts with the Cleveland Orchestra and with the Filarmonica della Scala. Guest engagements include concerts with the Concertgebouw, the Hessischer Rundfunk in Frankfurt, the Stuttgart Philharmonic, the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome, the Orchestra of the Maggio Musicale in Florence, the Oslo Philharmonic, and the Genoa Opera Orchestra. In addition to their season of concerts in Vienna he will tour with the Vienna Symphony in North America and extensively in Europe. In the summer of 2012 he returns to the Pacific Music Festival. Last season he conducted Das Rheingold, Ariadne auf Naxos and Rigoletto at the Metropolitan Opera and toured with the company to Japan, conducting Don Carlo and La Boheme. He made debuts with the Royal Opera, Covent Garden with a production of Aida and with the Liceu in Barcelona conducting Falstaff. In addition to concerts in Vienna, he toured with the Vienna Symphony in Europe. Guest engagements included concerts with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the Concertgebouw, as well as a production of Pagliacci in his hometown, Genoa. During the summer of 2011 he returned to the Pacific Music Festival in Sapporo, Japan. Mr. Luisi made his American debut in 2000 both with the New York Philharmonic and with the Lyric Opera of Chicago in a new production of Rigoletto. His recordings include rare Verdi operas (Jérusalem, Alzira, Aroldo), Salieri's La Locandiera, Bellini's I puritani and symphonic repertoire of Honegger, Respighi and Liszt. He recorded all the symphonies and the oratorio Das Buch mit den sieben Siegeln by the neglected Austrian composer Franz Schmidt. He has recorded several works by Richard Strauss for Sony Classical and a highly awarded Anton Bruckner's 9th Symphony with Dresden Staatskapelle. Born in Genoa in 1959, Mr. Luisi began his piano studies at the age of four and received his diploma in 1978 from the Conservatorio Nicolò Paganini. He later attended conducting studies with Milan Horvat at the Conservatory in Graz.. 2015/16 season only.
