有名となる。1996年から映画監督とし
ても注目され、
「潜水服は蝶の夢を見る」
で第60回カンヌ国際映画祭監督賞およ
び第65回ゴールデングローブ賞監督賞を
受賞。

Artist. He represents American New Painting. He sprung into
fame with his giant picture which he pasted broken ceramics on
the canvas. He has gained attention as a film director since 1996
and was awarded for the best director at the 60th Cannes Film
Festival, and best director at the 65th Golden Globe Awards.
