-2This approval is subject to the terms and conditions and other provisions as laid down in
the guidelines of the scheme which are available on UGC website. ln addition to this, the lnstitute
should (i) ensure that all the programmes essentially have component of computer proficiency,
language proficiency and management skills along with core skills as per QP and NOS (ii) enroll
for Skill Development Monitoring System (SDMS) and update the requisite information from time
to time (iii) fill up the non-teaching positions approved under the scheme purely on contract
basis and as per the minimum requirement for the programmes (iv) fill up the teaching positions
strictly as per clause 13 of the UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for the Appointment
of Teachers and Other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges And Measures for the
Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education, 2010. (v) curriculum of the skill component of the
programme is being developed by the concerned Sector Skill Councils. The lnstitution will adopt
or adapt the curriculum in consolation with the industry partner. However, alignment of the skill
components of the curriculum with the National Occupation Standards developed by the
respective Sector Skill Councils will be ensured. and (vi) monitoring/evaluation and updating of
the curriculum will be done periodically in consultation with the concerned Sector Skill Council
and the industry partner keeping in view their requirements and changes in the National
Occupation Standards.
Necessary grants for starting the courses will be released by UGC shortly. ln the
'I meanwhile, you are requested to proceed further towards starting the courses from the academic
session 2015-16 itself. A copy of the report of the Expert Committee is also enclosed for your
perusal and record. Observations/Suggestions of the committee may be kept in mind while
implementing the program.
ln case your institution is already approved either under the scheme of Community
or B.Voc. Program or both, these schemes will get subsumed under the DDU
KAUSHAL KENDRA and, as provided under Para 10.2 of the guidelines for DDU KAUSHAL
Colleges
KENDRA, the expenditure incurred under any of the schemes referred to above, will be met out
of the grants to be released to the DDU KAUSHAL KENDRA.
