フィジーの米国系ホテルに勤務した後、フィジー政府観光局日本支局長を経て、現在は、在日フィジー共
和国大使館の観光・商務官。二十数年にわたり、フィジー観光関連の仕事に従事してきた経歴を持つ。

After working at a US-based hotel in Fiji, Mr. Kawabata then worked as head of the Japan branch of
the Fiji Bureau of Tourism. Currently, he is the tourism and commercial relations officer of the Fijian
Embassy in Japan. Altogether, his career in Fijian tourism has spanned over 20 years.
