長崎大学について
Outline of Nagasaki University
長崎大学は、日本で最も歴史的な国際都市で
ある長崎市にあり、 つの学部と つの大学
院、 つの研究所、そして数多くの附属施設
を有する総合大学です。 カ国（地域）
名の留学生を含む約
人の学生が在籍して
います。国外に研究拠点を持ち、およそ
の外国の大学や研究機関と積極的に人的、学
術的交流を進めています。
キャンパスは文教地区、片淵地区、坂本地区
の つに分かれ、文教キャンパスには学部や
大学院の他、たくさんの研究施設が集中し、
留学生センターでは世界各国から集まった留
学生が日本語や日本の文化を学んでいます。
また、片淵キャンパスには経済学部、経済研
究科、東南アジア研究所が、そして坂本キャ
ンパスには医学部、歯学部、医歯薬学総合研
究科、大学病院、熱帯医学研究所があります。
長崎大学は、
“長崎に根づく伝統的文化を継
承しつつ、豊かな心を育み、地球の平和を支
える科学を創造することによって、社会の調
和的発展に貢献する”という理念の下で教育
研究を行っています。
02｜Nagasaki University Student Exchange Program
Nagasaki University is located in Nagasaki city
which is one of the most historically significant
cities in Japan because of its international
background. Today, Nagasaki University
comprises 8 faculties and schools, 6 graduate
schools, 1 research institute and a number of
educational and research facilities. About 9,200
students, including 405 international students
from 35 countries and regions, are currently
enrolled. Nagasaki University has research centers
abroad, and it is vigorously promoting personnel
and academic exchange with about 120 overseas
universities and research institutes.
Campuses are separated into three different
locations: Bunkyo Campus, Katafuchi Campus,
and Sakamoto Campus. Most of the faculties,
graduate schools, and research facilities are
concentrated on the Bunkyo Campus. The
international Student Center is also situated on the
Bunkyo Campus where many international
students from various countries and regions are
learning Japanese language and studying
Japanese culture. Katafuchi Campus contains the
Faculty of Economics, the Graduate School of
Economics, and the Research Institute of
Southeast Asia, while Sakamoto Campus contains
the School of Medicine, the School of Dentistry,
the Graduate School of Biomedical Science, the
University Hospital, and the Institute of Tropical
Medicine.
Nagasaki University conducts educational
research on the basis of this principal: in
contribution to society s harmonious development
by inhering a traditional culture rooted in
Nagasaki, fostering a rich mind, and creating
sciences to support global peace.

一般交換留学について
Student Exchange Program
．概要
．
Objective
長崎大学と学術交流協定に基づく学生交流に
関する覚書を締結している外国の大学から留
学生を 学期間（ か月）または 年間受け
入れるものです。
ただし、この一般交換留学は、
留学生センター
のプログラム、長崎大学短期留学プログラム
（NISP）とは異なります。NISP について
This program accepts students from overseas
universities with which Nagasaki University has
concluded a student exchange agreement for one
semester (6 months) or one year.
However, this program is different from Nagasaki
University International Student Program (NISP).
For further information about NISP, please refer

Tuition
Tuition shall be waived for students from the
universities
that
have
concluded
the
Memorandum of Understanding on Student
Exchange Based on Academic Cooperation
Agreement with Nagasaki University and agreed
on the memorandum of mutual tuition waiver.
There is an upper limit on the number of students
who can receive tuition waivers, therefore please
ask the office responsible for student exchange at
the applicant s home university.

⑴ Applicants must be enrolled as full-time
students at the universities that have

⑵ Expected date of applicants graduation or
completion have to be after the end of
duration of this program.

入国手続きについて
留学生は、居住する国の日本大使館や領事館
が発行する留学ビザを取得しなければなりま
せん。長崎大学が留学生に代わって、留学ビ
ザ取得に必要な在留資格認定証明書を入国管
理局に申請します。在留資格認定証明書が発
行されたら、入学許可通知書と一緒に留学生
が在籍する大学へ郵送します。この在留資格
認定証明書をパスポートと入学許可通知書と
一緒に、最寄りの日本大使館、または領事館
へ提出してください。
※在留資格認定証明書交付申請書は出願書類
パッケージにあります。
08｜Nagasaki University Student Exchange Program
Immigration Procedures
International students need to obtain a college
student visa issued by the Japanese Embassy or
Consulate in their county of residence. Nagasaki
University will apply to the regional Immigration
Office for a Certificate of Eligibility on behalf of
the accepted students. Once the applications
have been processed, a Certificate of Eligibility
will be sent to the student s home university with
a letter of Acceptance. Show this document as
proof of student status, together with your
passport and Letter of Acceptance, when
applying for a college student visa at the nearest
Japanese Embassy or Consulate.
*Application Form for Certificate of Eligibility is
included in the Application Package.

奨学金について
留学生交流支援制度（短期受入れ）
※全ての申請者に奨学金が支給されるわけで
はありませんので、ご注意ください。
（平成 年 月現在）
⑴ 申請資格
① 学術交流協定に基づく学生交流に関す
る覚書を締結した大学に在籍している
こと
② 在籍校における学業成績が優秀で人物
等に優れており、かつ日本学生支援機
構（JASSO）が定める方法で成績評
価係数が ． 以上であること
③ 留学の目的及び計画が明確で、日本で
の留学による効果が期待できること
④ 経済的理由により、自費のみでの留学
が困難であること
⑤ 日本への留学にあたり、他団体等から
留学のための奨学金を受ける場合、他
団体等からの奨学金の支給月額の合計
が 万円を超えないこと
⑥ 日本での留学期間終了後、在籍校に戻
り学業を継続するまたは在籍校の学位
を取得すること
⑦ 日本への留学にあたり、
「留学」の在
留資格を確実に取得し得ること
⑧ 過去に本制度を利用したことのないこ

① Students enrolled at the universities that
have concluded the Memorandum of
Understanding on Student Exchange
Based
on
Academic
Cooperation
Agreement with Nagasaki University.
② Students who demonstrate excellent
academic and personal records at their
home universities (Students must meet
the GPA requirement assigned by the
Japan Student Services Organization,
JASSO, which is 2.30 or above, based on
the JASSO calculation method.)
③ Students who have strong motivation as
well as clear goals for studying in Japan
④ Students who have difficulties funding
their studies in Japan due to economic
reasons
⑤ Students who do not have any other
funding to stay in Japan (in case students
receive funding from other sources while
staying in Japan, the total amount of the
monthly stipends from those sources must
not exceed 80,000 yen)
⑥ Students who will return to their home
institutions upon their completion of the
program and continue their studies or
obtain their degrees
⑦ Students who are able to enter Japan with
a student visa
⑧ Students who have not previously been
recipients of this scholarship

Campus Life
．宿舎

Housing
一般交換留学生は、原則として西町にある国
際交流会館に入居します。西町国際交流会館
は文教キャンパスから徒歩で約 分の場所に
位置し、近くに商店街があり、通学や生活に
とても便利です。また、国際交流会館には生
活に必要なものがほとんど揃っており、入居
したその日から安心して留学生活を始めるこ
とができます。
入居期間：半年間または 年間

Most of the exchange students will live in the
International House located at Nishimachi.
Nishimachi International House is a 15-minute
walk from Bunkyo Campus. The International
House is located in a very convenient area with
shopping streets nearby. The International House
is equipped with most daily necessities. Students
can start their new life with ease from the very
first day they arrive in Nagasaki.
Duration of residence: a half year or one year
Room rent: 19,275 yen per month
Utilities (electricity, gas and water): actual cost
Original condition restoration fee:
15,000 yen (when you first move in)
Room facilities:
air conditioner, bed, desk, reading lamp, etc.
Apartment facilities:
air conditioner, shower, toilet, refrigerator,
microwave oven, rice cooker, vacuum,
clothes washer, clothes dryer, fire
extinguisher, shoe cabinet, etc.
*if residents wish to rent bedding, it is available
at 5,000 yen for 6 months.
*If residents wish to access the Internet, they can
establish an account with a provider at their own
expense.

キャンパス内には学生食堂があり、比較的安
く食事することができます。生協には、教科
書や雑誌、文房具、日用品がそろっています。
．健康管理
保健・医療推進センターでは、学生が病気や
ケガをした時の治療やカウンセラーによる心
理相談を行っています。
．国民健康保険
長崎大学では、半年間または 年間、日本に
在留する留学生に対して国民健康保険への加
入を義務付けています。国民健康保険に加入
すると、学生がキャンパス外で治療を受けた
場合、医療費の ％の支払いで済みます。

Dining and Shopping
Nagasaki University has student cafeterias which
offer meals at lower prices than outside the
campus. Campus stores sell books, magazines,
stationery, and daily commodities. There are also
many supermarkets and restaurants near the
campus.

Health Care
The Center for Health and Community Medicine
provides students with various health services
including psychological counseling as well as
medical treatment in case of sickness and injury.

National Health Insurance
International students staying in Japan for one
semester or a year are required to enroll in the
Japanese National Health Insurance Program.
Members of this insurance program will be
required to pay 30% of medical costs incurred in
case of receiving medical treatments at medical
institutions outside the university.

図書館と国際交流プラザにはパソコンがあり、
インターネットが利用できます。また、学内
では無線 LAN も使用できます。
．課外活動
円滑な学生生活を送るためには、課外活動に
参加して、日本人の友達を作ることも大切で
す。長崎大学には、日本の文化や武道を含む
約 の文科系課外活動と約 の体育系課外活
動があります。
．留学生センター
留学生センターは、長崎大学の外国人留学生
の日本における生活や修学の円滑化を支援す
るための施設です。外国人留学生に対する日
本語教育、外国人留学生への修学上及び生活
上の指導・助言を行っています。

There are computer facilities available for
students in the library and the International
Student Plaza. Students can get connected to the
Internet from these computers. Students can also
have wireless Internet access on campus.

Clubs
In order to pursue a well-rounded student life, it
is important that international students spend
some time participating in extra-curricular
activities and making Japanese friends. Nagasaki
University has about 50 cultural associations and
about 70 sports clubs, including traditional
Japanese cultural activities and martial arts.

The International Student Center helps international
students get accustomed to Japanese life and
creates a suitable environment for their study. The
center provides international students with
Japanese language education and gives them
supervision and advice on their academic matters
and daily life.

the International Exchange Division. Native
speakers of Chinese and Korean help students as
well. Staff is pleased to help international students.

Tutorship System
The tutorship system is to help international
students of Nagasaki University lead a
comfortable life in Nagasaki and carry out
productive study or research. Tutors meet
international students on a daily basis and, under
the instruction of their supervisors, settle
international students problems associated with
study or research and daily life. Exchange
students will be provided with a tutor for one
semester or one year. Some tutors live in the
International House and support residents there
regarding all sorts of matters.

長崎について
長崎は九州の西端部に位置し、豊かな海岸線
に恵まれた日本でも有数の水産県です。寒暖
差が小さく、年間通じて温暖な気候です。
長崎は、江戸幕府が日本人の海外交通を禁止
し外交、貿易を制限した鎖国時代にあって、
日本で唯一、ポルトガル、オランダ、中国と
の交易が許された場所でした。外国居留地で
あった「出島」は、経済、文化、学術の交流
の拠点として我が国の近代化に多大な貢献を
し、また、長崎においては「出島」を通して
海外からもたらされた風俗、文化、宗教、情
報によって固有の文化が形成されました。県
内には現在でも数多くの史跡が残っており、
伝統行事や祭りにも当時をしのばせるものが
多く見られます。長崎の人々が友好的なのは、
歴史的背景によるものかもしれません。

About Nagasaki
Nagasaki is located at the western end of Japan.
Due to its complex coastline, Nagasaki is known
as one of the most famous places in Japan where
fishing industries flourish. The temperature
change between summer and winter is relatively
low and Nagasaki enjoys mild weather
throughout the year.
During the national isolation period when the Edo
Shogunate prohibited its people from going
abroad and restricted foreign trade, Nagasaki was
the only city in all Japan where exchange was
allowed with Portugal, The Netherlands, and
China. The Dutch conclave in
became the
center of exchange for economy, culture, and
learning and made a great contribution to the
modernization of Japan. Also, in Nagasaki, a
unique culture was formed by the customs,
culture, religion, and other information brought in

sites all over Nagasaki that maintain the feel of
those days along with the traditional events and
festivals still celebrated today. It may be said that
