Creating NSR-500 DVD Installer

Overview
This document describes how to create DVD installer for the NSR-500
series.

Applicable Model
NSR-500 Series

To be required
* Windows (XP, Vista or 7) installed PC (*1)
* DVD-R drive
* Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit Tools (*2)
* NSR-500 DVD installer image
File name: NSR-500-dvd-iso-[a.b.c-n].zip (*3)
* Blank DVD-R or DVD-RW media
(*1) The procedures described in this document have been verified
with the PCs listed below:
Windows XP/SP3, Vista/SP2, 7/SP1
(*2) It’s necessary for either of Windows XP or Vista being installed.

Procedures (Windows XP or Vista)
1. Installing “Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit Tools” to PC
2. Extracting the DVD installer image
Extract NSR-500-dvd-iso-[a.b.c-n].zip.
After that, you can see “vessapp_nsr_target_install_dvd_[yymmdd-n].iso”.
3. Invoking the Command Prompt Shell
4. Writing the image to a DVD-R with “dvdburn” command
Set a blank DVD-R media to the drive.
Write the ISO image to the media. (Usage: dvdburn [Drive] [ISO file])
5. Waiting for completion
When the writing is completed, the message “Burn successful !” is displayed, after
the burned DVD-R is automatically ejected and then reinserted.
With some hard drives, the burned DVD-R is automatically ejected without being
reinserted afterward and the message "Error reinserting disc" is displayed.
This message, however, can be ignored. The writing is completed.
Continue to do system installation with Installation Guide.
Though the following message may be displayed with some hard drive, it can be
ignored.
"Error setting timestamp; this error will be ignored, some drives can work without this."

Procedures (Windows 7)
1. Extracting the DVD installer image
Extract NSR-500-dvd-iso-[a.b.c-n].zip.
After that, you can see “vessapp_nsr_target_install_dvd_[yymmdd-n].iso”.
2. Invoking “Windows Disc Image Burner”
Right click the “.iso” file which has been extracted in Step 1.
And select “Burn disc image”.

Procedures (Windows 7)
3. Burning the DVD-R
Set a blank DVD-R media to the drive, check “Verify disc after burning”,
and then press “Burn”.
4. Waiting for completion
When the message “The disc image has been successfully burned to disc” is
displayed, the writing is finished.

概要
NSR-500のDVDインストーラーを作成する手順を示します。

対象モデル
NSR-500 シリーズ

準備するもの
・ Windows （XP, Vista, 7） がインストールされたPC (注1)
・ DVD-R を書き込み可能なドライブ
・ Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit Tools (注2)
・NSR-500 DVDインストーラーイメージ
ファイル名：NSR-500-dvd-iso-[a.b.c-n].zip (注3)
・ブランク DVD-Rもしくは、DVD-RW 1枚
(注1) 以下のPCで動作確認済みです。
Windows XP/SP3, Vista/SP2, 7/SP1
(注2）Windows XP あるいは Vista がインストールされている場合のみ必要。

NSR-500 DVDインストーラ作成手順

手順 （Windows XP 、 Vista）
1. PC に Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit Tools をインストールする
2. DVDインストーラーイメージを展開する
NSR-500-dvd-iso-[a.b.c-n].zip 圧縮ファイルを展開してください。
展開すると vessapp_nsr_target_install_dvd_[yymmdd-n].isoというファイルが作成され
ます。
3. コマンドプロンプトを起動する
4. dvdburn コマンドにより、DVD-Rに書き込みを行う
ブランクDVD-Rをドライブにセットする
dvdburn コマンドを起動し、書き込む （※dvdburn [DVD-Rドライブ] [ISOファイル名]）
5. 書き込みの完了を待つ
書き込みが完了すると、書き込み済みのDVD-Rが自動的にイジェクトされた後、
再挿入され、“Burn successful!” と表示されます。ただし、お使いのドライブによっては
イジェクト後再挿入されない場合があります。この場合“Error reinserting disc”と表示さ
れますが、無視して構いません。DVD-Rへの書き込みは完了です。
引き続き、インストールガイドを参照しながら、インストール作業を実施してください。
お使いのドライブによっては以下のメッセージが表示されますが、無視して構いません。
Error setting timestamp; this error will be ignored, some drives can work without this.

手順1で展開したファイルのアイコンを右クリックし、「ディスクイメージの書き込み」を選択
する。

3. DVD-R に書き込む
ブランクDVD-Rをドライブにセットする。「書き込み後のディスクの確認」をチェックし、
「書き込み」ボタンをクリックする。
4. 書き込みの完了を待つ
「ディスクイメージは正常に書き込まれました。」と表示されれば、DVD-Rへの書き込みは
完了です。
