This article is intended to describe the activities of the International Centre for Diffraction Data (ICDD).
ICDD is a non-profit,
non-governmental scientific organization, dedicated to collecting, editing, maintaining, publishing, and distributing powder diffraction data.
The ICDD membership consists of worldwide representation from academe, government, and industry.
ICDD also provides assistance to
the scientific community through a variety of approaches.
