国民年金
 The National Pension Program is a public pension system
designed to guarantee a stable lifestyle for the elderly and
disabled.
 Those not enrolled in a welfare pension system are eligible to
join this program. After enrollment for a minimum of 25 years
between the ages of 20 and 60, you will be eligible for the
Old-age Basic Pension at age 65.
 The eligibility period will be 10 years (120 months) from April
2017.
 Other benefits include the Basic Disability Pension, Survivor’s
Basic Pension, and Lump-sum

Lump-sum
sum Payment When Withdrawing from the
Pension Plan
A portion of the premiums paid will be refunded as a lump-sum
payment to those who participated in the national pension for 6
months or more and who applied for payment from overseas
within 2 years after leaving Japan.
