1 Introduction
Debian JP
関西 Debian 勉強会は Debian GNU/Linux のさまざまなトピック (新しいパッケージ、Debian 特有の機能の仕組、
Debian 界隈で起こった出来事、などなど）について話し合う会です。
目的として次の三つを考えています。
• ML や掲示板ではなく、直接顔を合わせる事での情報交換の促進
• 定期的に集まれる場所
• 資料の作成
それでは、楽しい一時をお過ごしください。

2.1 第 83 回関西 Debian 勉強会
83 回目の関西 Debian 勉強会は 4 月 27 日 (日) に、福島区民センターで行なわれました。
川江さんによる「自宅サーバに KVM を導入してみよう」と David Bremner さんによる「Notmuch Mail」の二
本立てでした。
ここしばらく行なっていなかったセッション形式、また海外からの Debian Developer の来訪となった勉強会で
した。
非常に楽しそうな内容でしたが参加できなかったのが残念です。
2.2 第 113 回東京エリア Debian 勉強会
113 回目の東京エリア Debian 勉強会は 5 月 17 日 (土) に株式会社スクウェア・エニックス 会議室で行なわれま
した。
野島さんによる「debian と docker.io」ともくもくの会の形式で行なわれました。
Debian で docker を使ってみて、Google Compute Engine でも動かしてみようという内容になっています。流行
りの immutable infrastructure を Debian で docker.io を使って試してみてください。
2.3 Debian Project
2.3.1 Code of Conduct
ここ数ヶ月触れてきたように、Debian Project は、GR(General Resolution:一般決議) をへて Code of Conduct
が採択されました。投票結果は「一般決議: 利用上の注意」*1 に詳しいですが、Code of Conduct に大多数が賛成だっ
たものの、その改訂を DPL(Debian Project Leader) が行なうか、GR を通して行なうかは僅か 13 票差で GR を通
して行なうことになりました。
systemd 関連のフレームがメーリングリスト上で起こったことに端を発して Code of Conduct をとの流れになり
ましたが、採択直後にまた 200 件を越える systemd 関連のスレッドが debian-devel にたっていたりします。

2.3.2 systemd/GNOME Sprint
4 月 25 日から 27 日にかけて、ベルギーのアントワープで「systemd/GNOME Sprint」*2 が開催されました。
「Bits from the systemd + GNOME sprint」*3 の報告によると、systemd 関連では udev の整理、git-buildpackage
の利用とリポジトリの整理、バージョン 208 のパケージング、GNOME 関連では、各パッケージの移行、VCS の
Subversion から git への移行の検討、jessie での GNOME 3.14 の可能性、Bluez5 への取り組み、などなどが行なわ
れました。
systemd と GNOME といえば筆者は最近、Bug#747210*4 「gdm3: fails to restart X server after first logout,
screen blank」に遭遇したので init を systemd に変更して回避したら、Bug#746358*5 「systemd: system boot
hangs if /etc/fstab contains an NFS mount」に遭遇するというコンボにハメられました。
2.3.3 リリースに向けて
「Bits from the Release Team - Freeze, removals and archs」*6 でリリースチームから 6ヶ月を切った jessie のフ
リーズまでのタイムテーブルが報告されました。また各アーキテクチャの状態もあわせて報告されています。
中でも Hurd については「Bits from the Debian GNU/Hurd porters」*7 で、Debian GNU/Hurd で Debian の
約 8 割のパッケージを使用できること (Iceweasel も 29 で SSL が使えます)、init システムを SysVinit に変更したこ
と、pthread になったこと、ネットワークドライバが DDE(Device Driver Environment) フレームワークベースに
なったこと、などなどが報告されています。
報告には挙がっていないアーキテクチャですが、arm64 と mips64el も活発に開発が進んでいるようです。arm64
については「Arm64 port live on debian-ports」*8 と「arm64 update - help wanted」*9 によると、2 つの buildd を
走らせており、4200 のソースパッケージがビルドできています。mips64el については「mips64el: FTBFS list and
buildlogs」*10 によると、7000 以上のパッケージのビルドに成功しており、1000 以上がビルド待ちとなっています。
2.3.4 CTTE
「Maximum term for tech ctte members」*11 で CTTE のメンバーに任期を設けてはどうかという議題があがって
います。
CTTE とは Debian Technical Committee*12 という Debian プロジェクト内の技術的な論争に最終的な決断を下
す集団です。最近では Jessie の Linux アーキテクチャでのデフォルト init システムを systemd にするべきとの決定
をしています。
任期を何年にするか、現行制度からどのように移行するか、まだ議論ははじまったばかりですが、概ね賛同する意
見が多いようです。ちなみに、現メンバーでの最古参は Ian Jackson さんで 15 年 5ヶ月目になります。

Wake on LAN で PC を起動する場合、暗号化 LUKS パーティションのパスワードを安全に入力するにはど
うするのがよいでしょう？
マジックパケットを使った Wake on LAN では、パスワードをペイロードとして投げるような機能はないよう
にみえます。
あらかじめ以下のような方法で LUKS パスワードの入力を省略するように設定しておき、Wake on LAN で
はマジックパケットを投げつけて電源 ON にするだけにする、とかでしょうか。

また、今年も 8 月に開催される OSC 2014 Kansai@Kyoto に出張開催予定です。今年は新しい T シャツがあるか
もしれません。
5.2 東京エリア Debian 勉強会
第 114 回東京エリア Debian 勉強会は 6 月 14 日 (土) に株式会社スクウェア・エニックス セミナールームで開催予
定です。開催日がいつもの第三土曜日ではなく、第二土曜日となっていますのでご注意ください。
内容は、wbcchsyn さんによる「GPG 秘密鍵取り扱い方法の提案」という、GPG の秘密鍵管理についてのアイデ
アを語るとなっています。
