◇The establishment of International Society of Oriental Medicine (ISOM) and International Congress of Oriental Medicine (ICOM) In 1975, when the 4th World Cogress of Acupuncture was carried out in Las Vegas of the USA, the International Society of Oriental Medicine
(abbreviated as "ISOM" http://www.isom.or.kr) was established. The society was led by Korea, with Japan and Taiwan as two centers, and Hongkong, Macau, Australia, the United States and European countries participated. The following year ie 1976, ISOM became officially operational as an international Medical
Association. The first academic conference was carried out in 1976.
◇国際東洋医学会（ISOM）設立と同学術大会（ＩCOM）開催経緯　１９７５年に第４回国際鍼灸学会（The 4th World Cogress of Acupuncture)がアメリカ・ラスベガスにて開催された際に、国際東洋医学会（The International Society of Oriental
Medicine, ISOMと略称. http://www.isom.or.kr ）設立が企画された。韓国の主導により、日本、台湾が中心となり、香港、マカオ、オーストラリア、アメリカ、ヨーロッパ諸国が参加。 翌１９７６年　国際東洋医学会として正式に発足.　第1回学術大会（The 1sｔ
International Congress of Oriental Medicine: ICＯＭと略称）は1976年に開催。
