西地区所属のプロ野球チーム。本拠地はワシントン州シアトルにあるセーフコ・フィール
ド。
MLB球団としては最も北

に本拠地を持つ。
チーム名
（船員や水兵の
意）
の由来はシアトルが港町だったことからといわれている。
アメリカンリーグ所属の15球団で唯一、
リーグ優勝およびワールドシリーズ進出を果たし
たことの無いチームである。

演色性の差
サマリー
既存照明比自然光に近い高演色性で球場内の観衆だけではなく、
テレ
ビを視聴するファンたちも最適な条件で競技を楽しむことができます。
2年にかけての準備及び検証を通してメジャーリーグに
初のLED照明システムを導入したケースです。世界の中
で優秀な技術を持つ照明会社が争った結果、GigaTeraの
製品が圧倒的な性能の格差で本プロジェクトに進入する
ことが出来ました。
このようなLED照明システムを導入することで、省エネ効
果及び環境にやさしい球団としてのイメージが高められ
ることはもちろん、選手たちの競技力向上にも大きな影
響を及ぶことができると期待しております。
プロジェクト
既存2.0ｋWの(2.13ｋW_電源措置を含め)メタルハライド
ランプをGigaTeraのスポーツ照明であるSUFA800W製品
で 1：1交替しました。
最適な照明設計のため、数えられないほどの現場調査及
びシミュレーション設計作業が過酷なフィールドテストと
共に行われました。
メジャーリーグの照明基準が厳しい条件にも関わらず大
変満足しており、
このような結果を通してLEDスポーツ照
明市場に新しい里程標をうちたてることになりました。
既存照明

(演色性：63Ra, 色温度：3700K)
(演色性：81Ra, 色温度：5000K)
ちらつき無し
放送中継特に野球競技では既存照明だとちらつきが発生します
が、LED照明の場合はHD、UHD放送環境で1秒当たり960フレームのウ
ルトラスローモーションまでもとることが出来ますので、再生しても画
面のちらつきがないため、楽な視聴が可能です。
