Saburobei Nakai III, to correctly ascertain the direction in which society
was moving enabled him to steadily develop the market for washi. Such
was Nakai’s success that by 1853 he had already opened a new store in
what was the main street of Kyoto at the time (and the current site of
JP’s Kyoto Sales Department), establishing Koshisan Shoten as one of
Kyoto’s leading wholesale merchants.

Consolidated and Restructured Logistic Functions
物流効率化と物流機能の強化を目的として、本社物流本部と国内物流子会社を統
合・再編し、JPロジネットグループを発足させました。

enhancing the JP Group’s logistic functions. The new group was formed
through an amalgamation of JP’s main Logistics Department and its
logistics subsidiaries operating in Japan.
